Amber Roberts and Jonathan Monté were reporting in Taylorsville today when a bridge they were standing on collapsed on the air. Thank goodness they are OK! How scary! Sometimes the news becomes the news! https://www.fox46.com/severe-weather/hiddenite-bridge-in-alexander-county-collapses-live-on-air/2 points

I have thoughts about what Dan O'Donnell and the rest of the WISN lineup can do... I'll let you use your imagination as to what. IMO, they're all repugnant.1 point

I wouldn’t mind seeing Lori moved to evenings and paired with someone else.. bring a harder feel to the evening and let her do the “bigger” interviews. Then bring in a new male anchor for the morning (preferably but unlikely Greg Kelly)1 point

If he loses his job, there's a pipeline to WDJT from WITI via their new GM... put money on it.1 point

Agreed about Greg on Newsmax. As for Shirleen, she has been an awesome Lori Stokes replacement on WABC. None of Fox 5's news casts are all that these days. 'Street Soldiers' is the occasional draw in for me.1 point

That new WAVE look gives me serious WPTV 2008-9 vibes (still my favorite open of all time).1 point

I think Greg has kind of gone off the deep end since he moved to Newsmax. I agree that I liked him with Rosanna. I don't bother watching anymore. They replaced her with Shirleen, who was probably much less expensive.1 point

I saw where Gray is upgrading the Raycom stations to VIZrt. That could be the reason behind the change.1 point

Here is another version which looks nicer than the one you shared.1 point

I guess I haven't been up to date. Lovely lady and a good anchor. Too bad ABC let her go to FOX1 point

So she is on GDNY AND the 6pm? (6pm temporarily). I know there she has a break between shows where she leaves the building, but I'd say she is being groomed for the 6.1 point

I hope he leaves, but even better, he retires and never runs another media corporation ever again. I'm sure anyone can run CNN better. I hope the new CNN president fixes everything that Zucker messed up.1 point

I honestly love Wolf and Anderson but I really wonder if they would be able to breakaway from the yelling panels, return to real news and drop the politics. Erin is/was better at business news. And let's be honest, Chris wouldn't have been moved to primetime if trump didn't win, he's good at arguing, yelling and hyping things up but that's what CNN wanted to increase ratings. I really like the people you mentioned but I don't know if they'll be able to return to real news. Zucker's got to go, the sports division is big money, only a matter of time before he ruins that.1 point

I’ve been watching more CNN over the last week with the crazy state of our nation at this time. Gotta say, the coverage is ridiculous no matter how deserved it might be. It’s become the trump news network and it’s beyond ridiculous how much time they dedicate to every single word he says.1 point

As cringeworthy as the next 4 years could be if things remain status quo, could CNN jump off the deep end again if we get "46" and CNN no longer needs to be a 24-7 fact-checking, Trump-bashing machine? I'm sure COVID will be in the news for the next year or so if it finally starts to fade away (or be dealt with appropriately by the feds....)1 point
