  1. I've uploaded more stuff on the Vimeo channel: https://vimeo.com/channels/1672797/ Including newscasts from: WCBI (Columbus, MS), KTWO & KCWY (Casper, WY), KOMU & KRCG (Columbia/Jefferson City, MO), KAKE (Wichita), and the big 4 English stations from San Antonio (KMOL, KENS, KSAT and KABB). 2. Have you ever been inside? It's cramped as f*ck! The studio can't hold a weather center (which is off in a conference room). There's no studio B (unless you like a wide hallway) nor way to expand if they want to add staff. News, sports and weather staffers share desks (day-side and night-side). I mean, KMGH is on the large side. I don't know why they'd need a new building, but CBS 4 certainly would.

  3. Do they need a new building? I don't understand why there's such a hunger here to knock down facilities that are "old." NBC shows off 30 Rock like a prized heirloom, but everybody else's old digs? Gotta go!

  4. CTM appears to be the morning news program with the most “news.”

  5. Well deserved! CTM is the the best of the bunch currently. I like the mature sophisticated vibe of their round table conversations with guests. The moderate pacing is great, unlike the rushed feel of Today and GMA. All the program needs is better graphics, and added elements to Studio 57 (instead of just sitting at the desk the whole broadcast, or occasionally standing by that giant screen) and they'll be solid.

  6. CBS having the big game this year probably helped its ratings.

  7. Yeah Morgan’s F bomb was brought up in the Nexstar thread. I posted about the potential new set in the graphics section of the Discord server. And I suspect that the Nexstar Fox graphics package might be coming with that new set. I think Page likes being able to spend more time with her family. Now she can take her kids to school. She now has a schedule better suited for a married woman with children. But you’re right. Ann will do a good job though. But why do they need TWO meteorologists at noon and 4? That’s the head scratcher to me.

  9. So it sounds like NBC Nightly News wasn't the first network newscast to have a "news theme" although I'm sure it was probably library music.

  10. WPXI has gotten rid of Chopper 11, and apparently they're now sharing with KDKA, according to this instagram post and comment thread: https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ0-Hi0Bbxo/

  11. The entire reason Scripps gobbled up ion was to get signals to put their diginets on, not to launch (from scratch!) a bunch of news operations. Maybe you'll see a half hour of Newsy on the main signal at some point during the day. Maybe you'll see a new newscast from any new Scripps-owned sister stations in the market. But we're not getting any new news departments out of this.

  12. If you watch the clip, what most likely set her off was a phrase written on the teleprompter that made her slip her tongue. I don’t know if that phrase was poorly written, or if there was an extra word in the phrase that shouldn’t have been added, but regardless, it was wrong for Morgan to lose her temper at the crew like that.....

  14. Sad news out of Cincinnati, longtime meteorologist of WLWT (NBC) and WXIX (Fox) Pat Berry passed away from covid-19. Thoughts, prayers and condolences are with Pat's family in this difficult and emotional time. https://www.wlwt.com/article/ohio-broadcaster-pat-barry-passed-away-at-age-69-from-covid-19/35575483 https://www.fox19.com/2021/02/21/former-fox-weatherman-local-dj-dies/
