KDKA officially announced this morning that the AR/VR set will be coming to Pittsburgh in the first or second week of August.

It has aged well for a set, over 11 years. It will be interesting seeing one of the AR/VR sets for KDKA, if that holds true. In the report at 4pm, Barry Pintar did show off that one of the video walls was removed as they prepare to renovate Studio A.

Not often that you see a station using the network's proprietary typeface in their graphics.

And probably because of some glitching out with the current ticker setup, KDKA temporarily switched back to the old ticker that launched with the package back in 2023.

And the 1991-2006 music is back, in addition to the updated logo and graphics.

And being reported in the news this morning (December 17), WBD has rejected the Paramount Skydance deal. -
You weren’t wrong about your idea about the bottom bar turning burgundy for Morning Joe. Because that’s what it is for the show.

When Velshi started this morning, the alignment of the bottom bar got adjusted up a tiny bit.

In an interesting turn of events, WMUR has gotten the new graphics; and has switched over from Hearst Classic to Strive for music as well.

It won’t surprise me if WMUR also gets the boxier looking graphics when they switch over.

According to our UK counterparts on Pres Cafe, this picture of the studio was heavily sepia-toned.

And the interesting thing is, the ABC News channel was HD from its launch in 2010 until ABC TV HD relaunched in 2016.

NBC News has announced that Lester Holt will be stepping down as anchor of the broadcast after a decade in the anchor chair. I don't think that's a green screen set. It looks like the actual set. The back floor of the set is a screen.

Not to mention that Weekdays and Weekends have two different production teams.
