  1. Some people overreact too much on these things. It's the middle of August. It makes sense that a senior anchor takes some time off. Not everybody is watching the news in the summer (COVID or no COVID) so stations will grant them break. People want to go outside. David will be back full time in the fall, I guarantee it...

  2. He'd have to build from scratch and overcome legal obstacles; their lease is over, and GCI not only gave Gray some of their staff, but there's probably a no-compete clause in there for years like all of the sketchy Hoak/Gray Legacy-like sales in the mid-2010s where the 'owner' just happened to be a woman or minority. At least Major Market Broadcasting (they of KRDK-TV) has been trying their best to push against Gray for all they've done.

  3. Nice to see Sarah subbing for Jim Monday at 6pm. The go-to’s are usually Rick, Brian, and Sharrie.

  5. With all this talk about past anchor teams I’m surprised Roz Abrams and Bill Beutel were never official co-anchors, granted that they were two large presences at Eyewitnesses News during that time period. It would’ve been like Chuck and Sue, the straight-laced news man with the more vibrant and personable female coanchor. I grew up on Diana Williams who was awesome, but I feel like Roz would’ve been a stronger presence with Bill B at 11.

  6. Kind of like Casper, Wyoming. Gray was basically running a news monopoly there because KTWO was a laughingstock, even before KYUR's owners bought it.
