LNL is a stupid acronym and their bug looks stupid. Not impressed with the boring graphics either. It sounds like an insurance company, Lincoln National Life. I said the same thing when Sinclair went to Curves that I'm going to say here. Sinclair has that overly serious sounding music. That's not who they are. The old Stephen Arnold upbeat theme songs fit them much better. Same thing going on here. Gray is a second or third rate broadcaster. Stay in your lane. This is not an insult, it's just who they are. Have something that better fits you and your viewership.

I’d be okay with a Scripps Weather other than JTV.

I doubt it's because nobody's watching, but more that Jewelry TV is offering much more money for the space than the A&E programming license fee has justified two separate gendered networks so far. At the end of the day, it's a rerun feed and Scripps isn't going to dump money into a network that's doing nothing, when JTV can dump money into them and give a sales cut. Also most of TR's programming was the dregs of A&E, and they ran away from Dance Moms once it became clear everyone in the cast outside Abby would just like it to die.

People like her make a compelling case for an outright ban on TikTok.

Apparently, nobody's been watching TrueReal, because Scripps is shutting that network down and merging its programing with Defy TV. The spectrum (at least on Ion/Inyo/Scripps stations) will be leased to Jewelry TV.

I totally agree that they've got the bigger problem of not having anything anybody wants to watch anymore and not having a clue how to create things people want to watch.

I don't care who's fault it is, I care about the damage to my wallet. I dropped cable when retrain and sports fees got tacked on to the bottom of the bill to the tune of $30. My cable and internet bill was roughly $165 and that was 2 years ago. I got rid of the cable and just do internet now and I'm perfectly happy with it. In fact, at the time, the cable company was encouraging us to do this so that they didn't have to fool around with these wars with the TV providers anymore either.

They killed the golden goose and are now in the process of killing the bronze goose. I'm not paying your stinking retransmission fees. If the online providers start with that garbage, I'm dropping them too, just like I dropped the cable company. And if they figure out a way to make me pay over the air using ATSC 3.0, I can live without TV.

Most likely that. That sounds like a "the competition is doing this, therefore we must do it too" directive from somebody locally. That graphic also looks like a rush job from the hub which is typical of station-specific requests. This is not a thing on other O&Os nor would I expect it to become a thing.

Thank you for bringing this up. I meant to post about it but forgot. Kendall was on solo all night Sunday 2/26 from somewhere around 6pm ET until Midnight ET. From about 6pm-7:30pm ET, they were having her do about 10 minutes live, followed by 20 minutes of automated weather maps, rinse and repeat. Then shortly after 7:30pm ET, the severe outbreak intensified to the point that they could no longer stay in automation, so Kendall had to be fully live for the rest of the night until Midnight ET, at which point, they went over to Katie Garner in Orlando mixed in with automated weather maps again. I also couldn't believe that they couldn't get anyone else in there to give Kendall a break for all those hours. I'm glad they did stay fully live at the height of the outbreak, though. When I saw how much automated weather maps were being mixed in early on, I was concerned that they were going to completely drop the bomb on coverage.
