  1. This thread is about Tucker's dismissal, any pending litigation, his next career move, the network's plan for the time slot, and other related matters. If it further devolves into largely unrelated political matters, we'll shut this down. There's literally anywhere else on the rest of the internet to discuss and/or rant about such matters.

  2. You guys can laugh at all this, and it's fine, but the second post comes from a guy in Seattle named Andrei Martyanov. He, Larry Johnson, Colonel Douglas McGregor and others have been telling you since last summer that Ukraine is getting its butt kicked. The mockingbird media instead has been spreading propaganda about how Russia is getting creamed. Russia has been winning all along, they're just grinding down as much of the Ukrainian military as possible, but the media keeps repeating deep state lies. See what I mean about the national media just being Pravda for the Deep State? That's why canning Tucker Carlson will be a devastating blow for Faux. They lose what little credibility they had in my circles. Edit: You people laughing, remember this post.

  3. Yes, Shirley at 10pm is permanent now. I did tune in to see the early evening, and Tamsen is still with Kori for the other dayparts. But aside from promos there is no press release or social media posting on the change. Either way i'd argue there is no responsibility of a news anchor to have a strong social media presence (despite that Tamsen does). Neither Shirley or Kori seem to and that is perfectly okay, as long as they can read the news effectively.

  4. I agree, let's give some breathing room and see how it goes. There's hardly any rush to bring someone new in. I rather have them take their time and find the best replacement who would enhance the program.

  5. Well, they did just that today.

  7. Definitely better than what they had before. I do appreciate when bits of local flavor are added to a set. And by that, I mean something local you recognize at quick glance. Not the "we put stone on this wall because our community has stones." To me, these local touches give a hint of personality that help prevent a set from being so sterile. In WCIV's case, I appreciate the Cooper River Bridge and Rainbow Row being included in the Low Country Live area. I wish they had done something similar on the duratrans behind the desk. But this is certainly a nice upgrade for the ABC4 team.

  8. Yeah I think its that and how the weather center seems a bit close. The Lowcountry Live portion of the set is so much cleaner...but I'll give them this, its different than WCSC and WCBD which is good. I think WCSC wins the set look for Charleston though.

  10. Looks like Fox is ready for war should Tucker wage it:

  13. Yesterday was definitely an interesting day. When the Dominion stuff came out and unflattering things that Tucker had said about Trump as well as antisemitic and misogynistic behavior amongst his tv staff, it made me wonder if his days are numbered. Fox News took out highly-rated Bill O'Reilly who was still their flagship personality at the time in 2017, so they were bound to take Tucker off if they felt like he would tarnish their brand further, so it didn't come as a surprise to me yesterday. For me, Fox News will find a heir for the timeslot, they have a stable of personalities that could take over the the timeslot and I have no doubt viewers will continue to watch as long as the pundits continue to say things they like to hear. Watching Fox News is pretty much a political pep rally 24/7, it succeeds because people cling to charismatic personalities that validate their world view. For me, that Dominion trial should have proceeded if we really wanted to see actual damage to Fox News. Also, Tucker Carlson is unfortunately prime to take on political aspirations in my personal opinion. I wouldn't be surprised if his team is already looking into that. He has a huge following and this situation makes him somewhat of a fallen hero in many people's eyes. So the media has to be careful and take things seriously, we don't want another Trump 2.0.

  14. Tucker doesn’t need to work another day in his life. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, so I would be stunned if he ended up on NewsNation to deal with the “confines” of cable news. My best guess is that he goes independent with a podcast a la Megyn Kelly. OR - he goes to Daily Wire or the Blaze.

  15. Someone mentioned replacing Don and my thought is: why? Let CNN This Morning roll with the two anchors they have and see if something’s there. It’s not like you’re putting ratings at risk with that show at the moment.

  16. Of course, all you lefties and rinos cheer, but here's what people on the other side are thinking. We know what really happened. Why wouldn't we when Fox has proven itself just to be another propaganda outlet for the military industrial state?

  17. @MediaZone4K - local news is okay, but the national news media has become Pravda for the Deep State. Anything on the national level is not to be trusted anymore. All it is is talking points fed to the media from political flacks. The funny one is Hunter Biden, who is actually involved in illegalities, along with his dad, given a pass. But they gleefully go after Trump over and over again and can't find a thing. He may be the cleanest person to ever run for the presidency. Oh and we have that Scooter Libby and Valerie Plame thing. A nothingburger, but they started beating the drums. I have no respect for the national media at all. All these phony scandals have turned me off to all these people. Scandal against Republicans and throw the book at them for jaywalking, Democrats always get a pass for major violations of the law. I'm not standing up for Republicans -- I hate the DC Republican Party, but that's what I see.

  18. Steve Harvey: Name a show that's replacing NBC 15 News at Noon and Gulf Coast Today. The National Desk! (Nope, another hour of Family Feud on top of the hour at 4: 00pm AND the 6:30 airing on WEAR!)
