  1. Please tell me Cindy Hsu has just been on a very long vacation. Her pic still comes up as anchor of the news at noon when they play those advertisements, but she hasn’t been there in weeks. Usually Jessica Moore is there now, and never says she’s in for Cindy. She’s the last anchor from when I was younger watching CBS 2, and still one of the very best in all of NYC.

  2. One of those rare occasions when a station flipping to shopping is an improvement.

  3. The big move upstairs should be starting soon as they’re putting the final touches on the new combined newsroom and studios. Curious to see if they replicate the current set or come up with something completely new.

  4. But that's not a Big Bad Nexstar problem. In a world of industry-wide automation and hard cut-offs, everyone should know better, and the team in the control room failed him.

  5. I'm as critical of Nexstar as anyone else, but let's be realistic about this: A hard out time on a newscast is a hard out. Especially in a world where master control is run by a hub hundreds of miles away and a single operator is in charge of multiple stations. When the programmed end time happens, the master control software will trigger the next break or program, whether they're done or not. As it should. An anchor's farewell is not, and should not be, an event that merits blowing through a hard out time. Want to make sure everything gets said? Produce a newscast with room to breathe for the farewell.

  6. Makes me wonder if in Charleston, SC....Sinclair takes things up a notch by consolidating "Fox 24" on to WCIV... WCIV being the former WMMP that still has MyNetworkTV on 36.1....since the old WCIV was gifted to Armstrong Williams to pacify the FCC at the time. the result being "ABC 4" on 36.2....
