  1. C'mon, don't be the guy that quotes and responds to himself.

  2. Mission could still technically cash out their 2 stations or any other of their sidecars with Nexstar. It only said Nexstar was not cashing out their spectrum. If Mission is the licensee, that's their spectrum.

  3. Would WGN just put Erin back as anchor from 4-6, and have Konrad do weather from 4-10? (Unless he tells management to 'stick it')

  4. By my math, and everything we've been told, yes, but 3.5 hours of broadcasts plus radio, newspaper, and online work might be all they want to load on him. Throw on that 4 o'clock show, and a man so dedicated to the quality of his work would eventually run out of hours in the day.

  5. Somewhat surprised Demetrius will be shifted to midday and 4pm. I hate to say it, but they needed to start grooming a Skilling successor at some point. Hopefully they won't need that for a long time... but he is 65.

  6. Sunny and 55 is sort of self explanatory... I imagine the weather would be longer in a more inclement situation. Somebody figured out the traffic is the bigger deal I think. If they don't give the weather hit extra time on a nasty morning then that would be stupid...

  7. For at least 20 years, they have ended the 6:30 AM news hit with the full weather forecast ending at 6:40. This week they started to end that segment with an extended traffic update with Karen and a brief weather update before going to break. Kind of stupid, I wonder what the reason is?

  8. I just uploaded this. Katie Couric and Matt Lauer in Sydney for the Olympics. Recorded in Sydney on Channel 7 - what a great time! It's a little 'rough cuts' style. The clip comes from a DVD I made for friends years ago.. and I was running out of room on it! (Catch the open at 1:50)

  9. Are you referring to the set that they used up until 2006? I have so much nostalgia for that set.

  10. Stations all across California are on breaking news about the Orville Dam Spillage. lets talk about my stations for example: KCRA had to interrupt NBC programming followed by a ticker but eventually went back but with the ticker still intact. KXTV just showed a ticker on and off during ABC programming. KOVR is just running a ticker through out the entire Grammys. KMAX is using Full Breaking News Coverage from KOVR CBS 13 news. KTXL had to interrupt FOX programming for breaking news coverage. KQCA isnt showing anything but they did have a brief ticker from KCRA. KUVS just showed a Headline of the coverage before going to Univision Programming. KTFK is showing a ticker during the Spanish version of X-Men First Class.
