He makes thinly-veiled political jokes all the time, and they're generally tamer than what you'd see on late night TV. The statement that got him benched wasn't remotely funny, wasn't intended as a joke, and specifically targeted a sizeable portion of the community...and potential viewers.

Are these "The news team you can trust" promos new? I'm just seeing them during the Oscars. It's seems odd and small market for the number one station in the number one market.

They're going to add Sinclair's new action-themed diginet Charge! on that allotment. Wouldn't be surprised if Fox gets MeTV, since it already carries its other networks on WDCA. Fox also carries MeTV on Austin's KTBC 7.4.

Well the kids on the reef tell me those push alerts are a big deal. It's all about "Mommy Dollars"..."mommy attitude" and "social media mommy". Holy sardines it gets annoying. I agree on the ratings thing, I would also add that there may be the Megan factor creeping into her head and she is worried. The hens need to nest...lay out straw...drink some wine...and get ready for Ms. Megan. Ya think they all may be walking on eggshells??? (cluck, cluck, crack)
