This almost reads like a market consolidation move. They wanted to be Alaska's Fox affiliate.

About Roeper.. He has an EXTREMELY busy schedule and life, and he barely sleeps. In addition to his movie reviewing and his column, he also constantly does interviews and various show and event appearances. He's traveling to LA/Vegas constantly. He's also a regular on Roe Conn's WGN-AM show, being on at least a couple times a week for most of or all of the show.. His condo is pretty much a "studio" for various things. He's also very big with living the "nightlife".. He's big in the poker world and he's always out at the bars. He normally doesn't turn in until after 2 or 3 am so he barely sleeps. Leaving GDC isn't really about pursuing other work.. He just needs a little break and some sleep during the day. Plus, you can really tell how tired his eyes look during GDC.

Surprising that Gray lost Fox affiliation to a smaller broadcaster.

It bugs me how the rotating "ARIZONA" in the open isn't centered to the circle of the logo. Little did they know what would be shaking them up... In terms of TV news, at 16:53 is a story about a WTSP news helicopter crash. Also good to see more examples of Fresh News and the graphics package they had. It's a good one that understandably had to be killed off. Also interesting to see how the logo had varying colors...Application was inconsistent of this logo after the February 1994 reboot. ——— "Nobody gives you more local news than we do!" It's KNDO News 23 from November 1993.

That WMBD promo can be as early as fall '85. It uses the same CBS News network graphics from the "We Keep America On Top of the World" campaign. I've also never heard that variant of the image song before.

KCTV and ex-chief meteorologist Chris Suchan parted ways last week. Former KSHB meteorologist Brett Anthony is back in town to work at KCTV (unknown shift). Here at WDAF-TV, we have promoted Megan Dillard from reporter to weekend evening co-anchor.
