Just caught the final seconds of WMC's 5PM and saw the same thing. Here are a couple photos. I hope the custom backgrounds on the weather graphics aren't done with (even though they appear to be, if the 7-day is any indication). I always thought using local photos was a neat idea.

That 'TKR format would have been a good match for a Fox affiliate starting up a news department, but I can see why the presentation didn't work so well for WTKR. ——— This CFTO clip from 1991 includes a snippet of them using something I never knew made it to Toronto: the early 90s CFQC/CKCK theme (an underrated jam IMO)! Was it only used for this 5:30 newscast?1 point

Looks like WABC brought back the 5pm talent open. For years now, it has just been the short intro to quickly transition between the 4pm and 5pm newscasts. I wonder if they are doing this as a nod to Diana Williams. She returned from vacation today for her final 10 weeks before she retires.1 point

The Shenandoah name I don't have a source on, but it was definitely written for WTVR. (That was in response to a newspaper article excerpt I found from 1986 mentioning Keltonic as having composed WTVR's theme of the time.) Additionally, it appears in ASCAP as "WTVR News Theme". (He also co-wrote the WTHR Rainmaker theme from 615.)1 point
