  1. We discussed this a few pages back when this open debuted. It's only for the morning show.
  2. Would you say this is brand new package or a refresh of the current look along the lines of what is being used in LA & Chicago?
  3. Maybe their goal is to bring back PM Magazine lol
  4. They made a big thing about it a couple Fridays ago. It's a regular segment at the bottom of the hour during the 4PM. It's good to see that they've gotten back into the consumer news game as they seemed to had gotten away from it when Tracy moved to mornings.
  5. She's filling in for Jackie who did a sit down interview with Joe Biden this afternoon. They mentioned Jackie would be back at 6. That said their main anchor team is set. Jim, Jackie and Glenn in the afternoons and sub Glenn for Sheena at 11. The only vacancy is who will pair up with Keith Jones at 5.
  6. That's an inevitability as WPVI's viewership literally dies off.
  7. WCAU snaked the Welcome America festivities from WPVI: http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/Comcast-NBCUniversal-becomes-media-partner-in-Wawa-Welcome-America-festival-376752211.html They now corner the market on the city's fireworks shows. WWSI will cover the events en espaƱol.
  8. If anything, I could see this being a precursor of them picking up Look F 2.0. I don't think they want to make any major changes til they move downtown next year. There really isn't much of a point in doing so.
  9. For like a week or two after they got their current weather look. Also here's what the forecasts will now look like:
  10. They started that early last year
  11. New weather graphics on NBC 10. Looks a lot like the west coast O&Os' Microclimate forecasts. A weather ticker now appears at the bottom of the screen. Also the weather's being done from a new 4 panel touchscreen setup.
  12. 1060 probably has the right of first refusal given their tenure.
  13. Yeah via grandfathering from the FCC. By rule though it's not permitted.
  14. It'll be funny if/when CBS spins off/sells the radio division and either the radio or TV station has to part ways with those call letters.
  15. Yep. They believe there should be one anchor team for dayside and one for nightside.
  16. The open on Vimeo was a hodge podge concept between KYW 1060's theme and the current Enforcer stuff. If you listen to the music in the final edition, they actually went to Gari for an actual custom cut. Who knows? The station is in such disarray, it's hard to tell what they're doing. Also they only seem to be doing this in the morning. The noon news had the regular day open and Enforcer music.
  17. Never thought I'd see the day but with the debut of 3's new morning team they redid the morning open which includes a custom KYW signature'd cut of Enforcer:
  18. Rick is actually filling in for Jim Gardner who's on vacation.
  19. Thank god. That set is damn near 10 years old and has never received a refresh.
  20. Yeah that studio was converted from an old conference room. They had actually built that studio for their old Nonstop operation. The news set came when WWSI moved in.
  21. At least on Comcast, 10's newscasts are being presented in letterbox on the SD feed. The graphics haven't been reformatted at all to reflect this though. I wouldn't be surprised though if this is eventually leads to the Look F refresh that KNBC and WMAQ uses.
  22. If you're referring to Violeta Yas, she's WWSI's meteorologist so she's a full timer. She's been working Saturday nights since Brittney Shipp left.
  23. Dave Price filling in for Glenn tonight.
  24. Me too. Maybe they could lure him back here for a comeback but I'd doubt he'd take the demotion.
  25. Glenn is sick, Bill's on vacation and Sheena's filling in for him. They mentioned he's gonna be in for the next few days.
