  1. Going by the announcement, it sounds like 6, 7, and 11.
  2. Hadn't seen this announced anywhere but NBC Sports completely overhauled their app. Gone is the clunky old app that was a mess to navigate and stream in the background to one that looks like it takes the best elements of Peacock and Xfinity's Streaming app. Here's some screenshots:
  3. Pretty sure that's not true as most of the EPL matches on USA are simulcast on Peacock.
  4. They had the opens already to go for tonight: I have to say Charlie is sounding rough these days. I wonder if they have plans to move on from him in the future. Maybe to someone like Paul Turner.
  5. They'll also be running an hour long special this Thursday at 8PM to say good bye to him.
  6. I'm guessing they'll hire a younger up and comer from within the station group.
  7. You can file this one under "It's about damn time", the RSNs are heading to Peacock (complete with live sports [IE no blackouts])by the end of the year in their regional markets: https://thestreamable.com/uk/news/peacock-will-carry-nbc-regional-sports-networks-in-select-markets-by-end-of-year
  8. Yeah that appears to be the case. The traditional scorebar appeared a few mins ago.
  9. The Flyers' first preseason game on NBC Sports Philadelphia is tonight and they trotted out this monstrosity of a scorebar. Please tell me this is temporary:
  10. Looks like a superior version of them yes.
  11. Love all of it except the lowers and the font weights they went with. TT Norms is a very versatile font with a variety of weights and widths and they went with medium condensed? As a designer I would have went a normal width and mixed thin/medium weights (for first and last names) for the talent lowers and medium weight for everything else. Secondly the lowers themselves are just too damn big with way too much wasted space. It is good to see the I Love Chicago signature be put out to pasture for the CBS jingle. Pretty sure I saw somewhere KYW would be debuting theirs somewhere around the fall season kickoff. Maybe this coming Sunday night after football.
  12. Not surprising. They're the only one of the NBC RSNs that didn't get the group set or any other upgrades to their facility. There was talk about them moving out of their dated facility in Bethesda and in with WRC but those plans were squashed even before COVID. BTW if it wasn't clear in the in press release, Monumental owns the Caps and Wizards so this would become a team owned and operated RSN.
  13. The set has been under construction for awhile now and Kathy's been in the position on an interim basis for much of that time. I'm pretty sure she signed off on it. That said, with as much as the station is bleeding money, I doubt they'd rip out a set this close to the finish line.
  14. She's actually been there for awhile as they went through the whole mess with leadership. She was also a high up staffer at KYW back during their News Tonight era in the early 90s. It's a good hire as she knows the market inside and out so she can at the very least make the station watchable again.
  15. Erin Coleman came to WCAU from WGCL as well.
  16. This talent shortage isn't just limited to Action News either. Saw a promo for this week's FYI Philly with TaRhonda Thomas hosting with Alicia. You know it's bad over there when they have to have a hard news reporter host the station's entertainment show.
  17. I guess that's to allow Jessica to present her Top 6 segment live on the morning show and not have her working two separate day parts.
  18. Those are both clones of the WCBS set as are WBBM, WJZ, KPIX and others. I'm guessing they'll get the same set.
  19. No that hasn't changed. I think they meant adding a 4th person to have two distinct anchor teams in the afternoon/early evenings.
  20. He's probably Stephania Jimenez' replacement at the anchor desk on weekend mornings.
  21. I think it's pretty obvious that they've been grooming Rick & Sharie to take over for Jim for awhile now since Monica left.
  22. For what, a watch? Lol
  23. I'm pretty sure they're actually upstairs in the main news studio. I guess Studio 29 is getting a makeover.
  24. Nah it's just a single drawn out note leading to the familiar sting.
  25. I'm guessing Jessica Boyington gets the job. She filled that role before at WCAU and I'm fairly certain they hired her with David's eventual retirement in mind. They'll try her and Matt Pellman out just to do their due diligence though.
