With heavy hearts and prayers going out to WSB's Jovita Moore battling brain cancer, A CNN correspondent is mourning the loss of his two year old son.
CNN's Rene Marsh's son Blake had died of brain cancer at the very young age of 2 years old. It's very emotional and difficult for a parent to lose a child to
cancer. Prayers and condolences goes out to CNN's Rene Marsh and to her family in this difficult time.

Western New York's broadcasting is silenced tonight. Legendary (WKBW) 7 Eyewitness News Sports Director/Anchor Rick Azar has died at the age of 91. Azar became a household name working alongside the late great Irv Weinstein, and Meteorologist tom Jolls (Commander Tom). Azar worked at WKBW from when the station signed on in November of 1958 to his retirement in 1989.
Thoughts, prayers and condolences are with the Azar family and to his extended family at 7 Eyewitness News.
RIP Rick, Godspeed... and say hello to Irv from all of us here.

Raleigh's WNCN (CBS 17) has found it's new main anchor. Former WFLA NewsChannel 8 anchor/reporter Rod Carter tapped to take the helm as the stations 5:00, 6:00 & 11:00pm anchor alongside Angela Taylor. Carter's first day was yesterday. So, this is how the new news lineup looks like for CBS 17 News.
- Bill Young and Randi Ayala anchor weekday mornings, 4:30 to 7 a.m., with Bill Reh at weather and Laura Smith at traffic.
- Bill Young is back at noon, with Liz Ortiz, and Reh is still on for weather.
- Angela Taylor and Rod Carter anchor 5, 6 and 11 p.m. with Wes Hohenstein at weather.
- Taylor and Russ Bowen anchor the 5:30 p.m. broadcast, along with Hohenstein at weather.
- On weekends, Holden Kurwicki anchors at 6 a.m. (plus 7 a.m. on Sundays) and Melissa LeFevre has weather.
- Maggie Newland anchors the Saturday and Sunday 6 and 11 p.m. news, with Nick Sturdivant, and Brian Hutton Jr. is on weather.

One thing missing the Sloan's TV Archives is WPLG's newscasts from the early-mid 1990's. I think that what caused the temporary shutdown.

Despite the departures at WOFL FOX 35, there's one coming to the Orlando FOX O&O. Courtesy of Mike McGuff (Houston TV Blogger); former KHOU Meteorologist, now KDVR/KWGN Meteorologist Brooks Garner joins FOX 35 as the new Chief Meteorologist. His first day is June 1st.
