Their best hope would be to bring in some big names
Who do got in mind for some big names for the soon-to-be CBS News Detroit?

All I can say is that WWJ better be at their game and be very competitive when they launched their newscast come the summer of '22. Bring some new talent and some familiar faces to the station, new set, and new way to bring the news. Let's not have a repeat of 2001-02.

Sad news out of Syracuse, NY. Longtime WSYR (WIXT) news anchor Rod Wood has passed away on December 11th at the age of 81. Thoughts, prayers, and condolences are with Ron Wood's family and his extended family at NewsChannel 9 at this difficult time.

I wish Shep Smith move his show to MSNBC and take over BW's time slot.

The Dr. Oz Show will end production on January 14 as the titular host will focus solely on his PA Senate run.
He'll lose in the primary.

“I’ll show myself out, until we meet again, that is our broadcast for this Thursday. Thank you for being here with us, and for all my colleagues at the Networks of NBC News, Goodnight.” -BW.
We will see BW again... Coming soon in 2022... "The CBS Evening News with Brian Williams".

Brian Williams is a free agent if CNN wants him as a replacement for Cuomo
I still got money on BW replacing Norah on the CBS Evening News.

I miss Larry King Live. If CNN had a LKL type a show with newsmakers, celebs, and take phone calls like LK done over the years, they would've gotten out
of the ratings slump. It's just my opinion

Changes are coming for two anchors in San Antonio and in Phoenix.
KENS 5 Eyewitness News anchor Deborah Knapp is reducing her schedule and stepping away from the 10pm newscast. She'll continue to anchor the 5pm newscast. No word on who will succeed Deborah at 10pm or whether her co-anchor Aaron Wright will anchor solo at 10pm.
And longtime ABC15 (KNXV) main anchor Steve Irvin will retire in '22 citing a recent health issue.

Longtime KAUZ sports anchor, news anchor, and asst. news director Chris Horgen is retiring after nearly 30 years at the Wichita Falls CBS station. His final newscast is tonight at 6pm.

Where you suspect he'll end up at? IMO, I suspect BW will jump to CBS and if I play my cards right... He might just replace Norah on the CBS Evening News. It's just my opinion, folks.

IMO, FOX should've never sold its RSNs to Sinclair in the first place. I wouldn't mind if they would've sold it to Disney. We would've had ESPN: Name here (ESPN: Southwest) and regional versions of SportsCenter.

WSB Television and Atlanta Television will never be the same without Jovita Moore. Prayers and condolences go out to her family and her extended family at Channel 2 Action News.
And Jovita... Atlanta TV will never forget you. You will NEVER be forgotten. And say hello to Amanda Davis from all of us here. RIP Jovita and Godspeed.

The same type of situation happened in other New World markets, with the daytime shows moving to their new station 3 months before the full switch occurred. For example in Atlanta, Price is Right had moved to WVEU 69 in September of '94, which CBS was planning on buying before they struck an 11th hour deal with WGNX to affiliate with them.
IIRC, KDFW (Now Fox) did the same thing when they were a CBS station. The Price is Right and The Bold & The Beautiful moved to independent station (Now CBS) KTVT in the fall of '94 after KDFW preempt them in favor for Phil Donahue and short-lived syndicated court show, Juvenile Justice. KTVT also cleared select CBS prime time shows at KDFW preempted in order to run locally produced specials.

Let me see if I got this right, and again I could be wrong. WTSP was airing CTM (CBS This Morning) and TPIR (The Price is Right) on a ABC station (Now a CBS station). WTVT expanded their morning news show GDTB (Good Day Tampa Bay, 7-9am) on a CBS station (Now a FOX station). And WFTS was airing GMA and maybe Mike & Matty on a FOX station (Now an ABC station).

I guess ABC's Good Morning America also moved to WFTS on 9/12/94. I could be wrong on that.

Whose NBC O&O's left without the Look S?

Folks, despite the departures of two of Houston's popular anchors, a Southeast Texas news anchor has relocated to Southern New England. Remember Tiffany Murphy left Beaumont's KFDM 6 News earlier this month, we now where she's landed. Tiffany is now at Providence's ABC 6 (WLNE) as the stations 4, 5, 6, and 11pm anchor.
