    Chris Sloan will be back soon. And I mentioned this before on Discord and here's Sloan's statement.

    RIP Clayton Vaughn... and Godspeed. Say hello to Jim Giles and Bill Teegens from all of us.

     

    And speaking of Bill Teegins, it was 20 years ago this past January that Bill and 9 members of the OSU basketball program had perished.

    Got a few comings in North Carolina.

     

    In Asheville, WLOS ABC 13 hired former WFTV anchor/reporter Ty Russell as the stations evening anchor at 6:30, 10 & 11pm with Tammy Watford and Holly Headrick. Russell will also work on News 13 Investigates.

     

    And in Raleigh, WRAL NBC 5 hired Michelle Mackonochie as the morning anchor and reporter. Shoe joined the station at the beginning of the month, came from CBS station WINK/Ft. Myers, FLA. Mackonochie's uncle is Bill Diehl, who's a correspondent at ABC News Radio in New York.

    My station which is an ABC Owned Station in Raleigh WTVD ABC11 is called "ABC 11 Together" based of the "11 together" brand in the 70s and like KGO there being done by regular reporters.

     

    In Houston, ABC Owned KTRK ABC 13 still have its "Cares About Texas" campaign. I think its still be used in PSA commercials.

    They'll be a new main anchor at WSMV Channel 4. The Nashville NBC station hired CBS 17 (WNCN) main anchor Marius Payton to be the stations 5, 5, 6:30 and 10pm anchor with my friend, Tracy Kornet.

     

    Payton replaces Tom Randles who left the station last year in September after he and 'SMV management could not agree to a new contract. No start date on when he'll debut on WSMV Channel 4 News.

    And with Marius Payton leaving The North Carolina Triangle (Raleigh, Druham, Fayetteville) and CBS 17, it's too early to say on who'll succeed him at CBS 17 News at 5, 6 & 11pm but I have a hunch it'll be Russ Bowen who'll take the helm as the station's new main anchor.

    True. Unless... Meredith decides to sell WGCL/WPCH to Nexstar.
