The Fox Weather/The Weather Live unlisted Youtube link shared earlier in the thread has updated graphics like the ones in the Variety article. Before they looked more like standard FNC graphics. Actually, there's now an America Live Weather stream that has the graphics previously used on the Fox Weather stream, with a look very much in line with the Fox News Channel logo, so I wonder if that's going to pop up on FNC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJVjv8qNIDY

Ok, let’s take a look at the YouTube views. I see a couple with views in the thousands, but many are under 1,000 views, some don’t even have 500. EDIT: I even flipped it to Most Popular and the numbers aren’t that exciting. Only one with over a million views, four over 500K. I don’t know what any potential recording numbers might be. Does anyone release Live +7 numbers for NN? How much of their content is worth saving or binging? I also don’t know their app/website activity. If you do, please feel free to share what you have. It’s not that I don’t want NN to succeed, but they’re not exactly doing anything particularly exciting or different, so what’s the point of it? Did the world need yet another talking head channel?

Based on those ratings, they should just run Blue Bloods all day.

Is it just me, or is the CBS and MORNINGS/MORNING NEWS different sized and/or not aligned?

That lower 3rd and local ticker combo makes no sense. Is CBSN next to get its refresh? I noticed the YT thumbnail has changed.

I imagine that hour of NewsNation Prime goes away and On Balance slides into that slot when Dan Abrams’ show starts.

Likely far less, but it would be an apples to oranges comparison IMO since those newscasts haven’t aired on the former WGNA since 2014.

Looks good to me. MSNBC desperately needed a refresh and all the different looks for different stories was a mess, IMO. The only thing that surprises me is that the refreshed logo on-air is NOT the same as the one that’s been online and on the NBC News app for a while now. Very similar, but you can tell the difference by the Cs.

The only reason I would even consider subscribing to this would be to catch Pelicans games I can't currently get streaming in market on NBA League Pass since YouTube TV dropped the RSNs. If they don't have the games, there's no point. Not really interested in this either:

I think this is the first time we've seen the "local" versions of the Bally Sports logo. Pretty basic.

On their own website, it says G4 is a digital first network, which means it's likely going to be a live channel on Peacock and possibily a live stream on Twitch and Youtube. Why they heck would they want to put a gamer-first channel on a distribution platform their audience is moving away from? Is there a particular fetish here for NBCSN to go away or something?

First off, let’s pump the brakes a bit about NBCSN closing - the article cited is making predictions for 2021, it’s not a guarantee. The reasons given for closing it down makes sense, but it’s an informed opinion more so than a lock. As for why business networks were used for overflow sports programming, that’s simple - they had greater penetration, especially CNBC.

It sits awkwardly with the theme music (though that could just be the video encoding) but it's probably some of the better graphics work for CBS News in a while.

That's when whomever remains in the local markets provides a "cheat sheet" of tricky pronunciations. Or the met uses other landmarks to identify the path and avoids the one he's not sure of. It's not like a new local met in a new market wouldn't run that risk. Now, where this becomes an issue is - with any hubbing efforts - is the fact the satellite met doesn't know the history of the area, where the trouble spots are, and how they've handled severe weather in the past - that good ol' fashioned "local knowledge". A lot of executives seem to feel the appearance of news/weather/etc. is actually providing a service.

Can't wait for the Trump Golf Course Forecast followed by a rundown of severe weather warning areas drawn on maps with magic marker. In all seriousness, I wonder if this might move Accuweather to make their channel (if it still exists) an over-the-top streaming service, or if The Weather Channel will offer a more weather-focused version of Local Now. Also, can't think Weathernation's very happy about it. I liked The Weather Network out of Canada's streaming offering they had a while back - it had TWC-esque local forecasts and everything - but it just up and disappeared one day from their app.

Didn't the RSNs handle the MLB "Game of the Week" broadcasts for Fox and FS1? Would that continue?
