For morning newscast they have ditched the "Traffic & Weather on the 2s" branding and reduced the amount of traffic reports. The full traffic reports were done at 5:15, 6:00. They did shorter "Commuter Alert" segments at 6:15, 6:22. 6:44. 6:53. Alex also did a segment called "Happening Today" at 4:38., 5:38, 6:36.

Elise was subbing for John this morning. Jeff Berardelli is subbing for Vanessa. Scott Rapoport is subbed Friday night and is on tonight doing sports.

Rob mentioned this morning that they were using the newsroom studio because their main studio was receiving technical upgrades this weekend. Curious what they are upgrading? The only thing I’ve noticed on TV is the chromakey wall didn’t seem to be keying in the graphics cleanly since they came back on after the blackout.

They had the camera shot wider to fit the ACCUWEATHER logo at the top of the frame.

Sorry for getting repetitive. I agree in general it's not a big deal, except when they are the only local TV station to not have someone sub when the regular traffic reporter is out I do find that odd. In other CBS2 news, noticed Nina Kapur, previously with News 12 Connecticut, joined WCBS in June as a reporter.

Alex was off. No traffic reports today. Jenna DeAngelis, who has subbed doing traffic, was in studio reporting and could have done the traffic reports.

He was subbing with Sandra Bookman today for morning and noon newscasts.

Find it odd the morning after severe storms, that caused major flooding in some areas, WCBS had no full traffic reports this morning. Alex was not there today and they only did a few quick "Commuter Alert" segments.

Due to the Manhattan power outage, WNBC is doing their 11 PM newscast from WNJU Telemundo 47. There are no graphics and the color of the video does not look right.

Michelle is subbing weekday mornings while Shirleen is on maternity leave. Diana is subbing today for Shirleen on the noon newscast.

They used the CBSN NY bottom graphic on CBS2 this morning. There was no CBSNewYork.com below the CBS2 bug.

At 5:12 AM, the CBS2 news scroll switched to the graphics used by CBSN New York for the rest of the newscast. There were also no full traffic reports as Alex subbed for Chris.

Another day where Alex is subbing for Mary and they’re not bothering to do traffic reports. I find it ironic because this week you have Emily West subbing for Lauren on WNBC and Alex Lee is subbing for Heather on WABC.

Jummy Olabanji gave her goodbye at the end of the 6 PM newscast. She's moving to mornings at sister station WRC in July.

Jenna DeAngelis has subbed for Alex but I guess CBS2 would rather have her reporting for the morning newscast. Thursday they did have Alex, while subbing for Mary, do a few "Commuter Alert" segments after the weather reports but no full traffic reports. I also don't get why they no longer have a sub for Alex. Friday Jenna DeAngelis subbed for Alex.
