  1. KCWO is still classified by the FCC as a satellite station of KOSA. As it says on their failed waiver request.
  2. Adding to that, I do see on the Raycom sites, Gray has gotten rid of the "livestream" for a different streaming software, similar to the legacy Gray sites use. For example: WVUE & KCBD. __________ Also, we have another M&A. I guess Gray is going after MeTV in Midland. It wants to acquire MeTV station KWWT from Winstar Odessa, Inc., and Cozi TV LP, KMDF-LD from Martin Weiss for $1.84M collectively. They're seeking a "failed station waiver" to acquire KWWT because Gray already owns the full power CBS station KOSA and "satellite station" KCWO. KWWT was the former CW affiliate before it was moved to a subchannel of KWES in 2013.
  3. Even her former station in Virginia (WHAG/WDVM) did a small tribute.
  4. A small M&A. Weigel wants to expand its OTA reach in northern Utah with a couple of LPs. They're buying Logan's KUTA-LD & Ogden's KQTI-LD from Airwaves, Inc. for $375K.
  5. Oh boy. 32 is about to add a 4pm. WFLD will be launching First At Four, beginning August 3rd. Anthony Ponce & Sally Schulze will anchor the broadcast from the main studio, while Tia Ewing will report from the new Studio 32.
  6. What I forgot to mention is the Telemundo affliation agreement is included in this transaction. From this RBR article about the sale:
  7. Oh boy. KFSN is about to get "pinned". Wonder where they got that idea from........
  8. New M&A from Gray. And we're going back to Hawaii. Gray is acquiring the Telemundo affiliate KSIX-TV from Mauna Kea Broadcasting for $1M. We all know what Gray has in the Islands. Honolulu's KGMB (CBS) & KHNL (NBC). And KHNL satellite's KFVE (formerly KHBC) Hilo and KOGG in Wailuku. KSIX's signal primarily serves the western sections of the Big Island. Gray is saying the station's signal doesn't overlap with their Honolulu station or KFVE, which that serves the eastern part of the big island. Here's the contours of both KFVE & KSIX signals in the Big Island.
  9. That's not legit. It's just a regular mask with someone drawing the "Circle 7" logo with a permanent marker.
  10. Shirleen filled in on World News Now earlier this AM.
  11. They switched to Aerial. Graphics are a status quo.
  12. Morning anchor Mary Calvi has been appointed as new weekend anchor of Inside Edition. She will still anchor the morning & noon broadcasts on Channel 2. But she will also fill-in for Deborah Norville on the weekday IE broadcasts. Channel 2 airs IE Weekend Sunday mornings at 4:30am. Maybe they should move it up to 5:30am, leading to the local show at 6am.
  13. It appears that Sinclair is making its first TV station purchase since the consent decree. They're buying two LPs in the DC area. WDCO-CD in Woodstock, VA & WIAV-CD in Washington from WMTM, LLC for $8.5M.
  14. But would Lockwood be willing to blow most of their budget just to start an in-house op for WTNZ? I strongly doubt it. In fact about it, I don't they've ever started an in-house news op from scratch. The only reason why they have it on KAKE, WCAV & WFXG is because it was already established by those respective station's previous owners.
  15. Follow up. Robb is now recovering at home.
  16. Here's WDFX's promo
  17. Pulsar was used..... Especially in this Al & Jerry promo at the beginning of this vid. Vid courtesy of "eyeontv" from YT,
  18. How about the music at the beginning & the ending of that NMSA sample? That's different from the now-identified music on the middle of the sample.
  19. The deal of the Wyoming trio (KFNB, KTWO, KGWC) was completed 6/1, but the closing papers was posted yesterday (6/8).
  20. I don't think WGN used their own Skycam9 for the coverage. I say ths because WMAQ uploaded their raw footage of the chase, which was the same feed WGN used.
  21. Who could forget Nancy Loo & David Ushery on the morning show?! That was two decades ago.
  22. New retrans fight. AT&T/DirecTV & Lilly Broadcasting. The Lilly stations could be dark as early as June 10.
  23. They were later released.
  24. Looking at this guide, DBL is on at 12:30pm after the Noon report.
  25. Hey y'all. They got 'em.
