He is probably coming to NBC 4 as they are still looking for a weekend am meteorologist since Lauryn Ricketts left last year.

While you may say the CBS2 in the box branding looks awful, that's the way it will eventually be for the remaining O&Os. To me it looks good on KCAL and KPIX.
-
The set is reminds me of what WREG had with their newsplex set before getting their new one.

Look, it's just the first day. Not everything goes as planned. Yes, it will take some take some getting used to but after awhile things will settle. No matter how many times you rehearse, there will always be hiccups. 1) KCAL is still the same without the "9" and is getting a lot more attention as the main brand. 2) CBS 2 is now CBS Los Angeles. 3) CBS News Los Angeles is their streaming service.

Pat Collins is one of the best. He will truly be missed but at least he can finally relax.

CBS O&Os Adopting "First Alert Weather" Branding
abric replied to Georgie56's topic in The Weather Lab
For a time, WUSA-TV used the First Alert Weather brand when they launched their USA Today graphics in 2013. -
The logo looks similar to the one that CBS 12 (WPEC) has. They just expanded the "2"

I knew this was coming, but in Mark's case an explanation needed to be made and I'm proud for what he did. Lynette should have had the chance to say goodbye after 24 years at one station.

That definitely took guts.

abric replied to bostonmediaguy's topic in General TV
I knew eventually WWJ would pick up the 'NEXT Weather' and return to the 'CBS Detroit' brand for the first time in 20 years. -

WBZ/Boston (and other CBS O&Os?) to Rebrand Newscasts?
abric replied to bostonmediaguy's topic in General TV
The lower third graphics almost look similar to the ones on Spectrum News. -
Congratulations to Cory Smith on his promotion to Boston.

Hopefully CNN can go back to some more credible, hard news journalism that has been 'zucked up' in the past few years.
-
Maybe it's a decision between the anchors and management.
-
Both A Current Affair and Extra (in the late 90s when they were trying to mimic Inside Edition).
-
The anchors (both this morning and evening) are on the set but have gone back to social distancing since the NY Covid Alert Level has gone to Medium. The forecasts will come from the green screen and Otis is doing sports remotely from home.

It has been a tough few weeks for the Washington DMA. First we lose Bruce, now Wendy. I know they are at peace now.
-
This one really hurts. I grew up watching her every day at 5pm on channel 4 for years.

A true professional in every sense of the word.

So very true. May he rest in peace.

Never knew it was Jim Ryan (of WNYW) that gave him the nickname.
