  5. WOWK 1996 morning news. No idea what the theme is. You can hear the bulk of it around 22:24. Also, at the very end, you can hear an ID:
  6. I've been dying to find more talent opens from that era. It was WTSP's best overall image. Hope to find a full weeknight talent open.
  7. Back to the mainland, here the first 5 minutes include footage from WFLA and a WTSP news open from 1990:
  8. Wow, dig that music package. What a great close.
  9. Was there any date associated with it? I am quite sure it debuted in 1983 based on YT clips, but I was curious. On a side note, I wonder if he'll ever get around to changing the WBNS '77 listing to Gavin/Connors?
  10. OK, so this is really interesting: The NMSA has found the composer for the "WTSP 1983 News Theme" used from 1983-1989. It is not Tuesday Productions, as I long suspected. It's William Douglass Benge. Anybody know any information about this composer???
  11. There were quite a few stations that also used a red/white/blue color scheme to some degree in the '80s. WFLA, owned by Media General, had the color scheme between 1985-1989.
  12. WJXT "Eyewitness News" promo extravaganza from the 70's, 80's and 90's with all the faces you know: http://www.news4jax.com/news/from-the-vault-vintage-promos/27793884 The WJXT 1981 theme has to be from Klein &.
  13. It seems there was a sort of refresh of the campaign that took place in 1983/84, which was a more aggressive sound for TSOTB with the "Watch Our Spirit Now" promos.
  14. Well, the "tele-type" effect at the end of the cut that opens Joe's editorial segment does sound very much like "Hello News" in a way. And some claim that WFLA used "Hello News" for a brief time in 81-82, but no videos have appeared yet.
  15. Maybe someone can cut that video and just post the SOTB promo by itself.
  16. At 2:53 in this video, is a promo from "The Spirit of Tampa Bay" campaign that ran on WXFL from 1982-85: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNMxTX8uE68
  17. WTSP 1988 complete newscast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxE30f0lFdU
  18. A ton of WTSP 1980's segments as well:
