There were quite a few stations that also used a red/white/blue color scheme to some degree in the '80s. WFLA, owned by Media General, had the color scheme between 1985-1989.

It seems there was a sort of refresh of the campaign that took place in 1983/84, which was a more aggressive sound for TSOTB with the "Watch Our Spirit Now" promos.

Well, the "tele-type" effect at the end of the cut that opens Joe's editorial segment does sound very much like "Hello News" in a way. And some claim that WFLA used "Hello News" for a brief time in 81-82, but no videos have appeared yet.

Maybe someone can cut that video and just post the SOTB promo by itself.

That WTVJ entry for MCTYW is interesting. A few CBS affiliates did use the theme. Note: That ad is great because I've noticed that font used elsewhere in station ads, most notably WTOL which had the slogan "MCTYW" in that font, and I have to take it they used the theme.

I've been trying to locate clips from the early '90s from WINK and finally found a great clip. It features "CBS Affiliate Package" and the early '90s CBS News graphics: The close is at the end. Also notice Glenn Schwartz at the end.

This 1980 KVOA weathercast may have been posted before, however, at the very end, the bumper sounds like "News People". Anyone else agree? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZNY8JZz62U
