  1. There were quite a few stations that also used a red/white/blue color scheme to some degree in the '80s. WFLA, owned by Media General, had the color scheme between 1985-1989.
  2. WJXT "Eyewitness News" promo extravaganza from the 70's, 80's and 90's with all the faces you know: http://www.news4jax.com/news/from-the-vault-vintage-promos/27793884 The WJXT 1981 theme has to be from Klein &.
  3. It seems there was a sort of refresh of the campaign that took place in 1983/84, which was a more aggressive sound for TSOTB with the "Watch Our Spirit Now" promos.
  4. Well, the "tele-type" effect at the end of the cut that opens Joe's editorial segment does sound very much like "Hello News" in a way. And some claim that WFLA used "Hello News" for a brief time in 81-82, but no videos have appeared yet.
  5. Maybe someone can cut that video and just post the SOTB promo by itself.
  6. WGN 1986 sign-on/national anthem:
  7. At 2:53 in this video, is a promo from "The Spirit of Tampa Bay" campaign that ran on WXFL from 1982-85: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNMxTX8uE68
  8. WTSP 1988 complete newscast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxE30f0lFdU
  9. A ton of WTSP 1980's segments as well:
  10. HUGE finds: WKRG 1975: WFTV 1976:
  11. WFLA 1992 newscast (partial) from Johnny Carson's last show:
  12. KMTV Omaha (1993?, probably 1995) newscast:
  13. WTVJ 1980 sign-off with unusual SSB:
  14. That WTVJ entry for MCTYW is interesting. A few CBS affiliates did use the theme. Note: That ad is great because I've noticed that font used elsewhere in station ads, most notably WTOL which had the slogan "MCTYW" in that font, and I have to take it they used the theme.
  15. WNAC 1976 audio open at 15:20 here:
  16. Great info! Sounds like those were popular tracks.
  17. WMAQ 1974 close at the end of this clip: One of the posters commented the theme was also used by WNAC and WDIO.
  18. WITI late '70s news close at the end of this (unknown theme):
  19. KGAN, late 80's:
  20. WTVT Dec. 1964 newscast: http://www.fuzzymemories.tv/index.php?c=3801#videoclip-4564
  21. Not sure if this has been posted before: WHAS 1976 news open and highlights of news anchor Lee Hunter.
  22. I've been trying to locate clips from the early '90s from WINK and finally found a great clip. It features "CBS Affiliate Package" and the early '90s CBS News graphics: The close is at the end. Also notice Glenn Schwartz at the end.
  23. This 1980 KVOA weathercast may have been posted before, however, at the very end, the bumper sounds like "News People". Anyone else agree? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZNY8JZz62U
  24. 1980 WCKT bumper spot for their "new team for the '80s" with 'Tuesday E' in the background:
  25. More vintage Tampa: WTVT 1988 newscast (Charlie Van Dyke v/o): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnQCh9UgnZM
