Goddammit. At least the CBS2 isn't still outlined...I guess?
-
Honestly, I'd be totally okay if they were to bounce the evening team to a 6pm start, giving the 4pm team an additional hour, unless they eventually envision a 3pm newscast for that crew, considering the bleak hellscape that is daytime syndication. That said, Skilling is gonna do what he damn well wants, as he damn well should. IF he were to cut back, I think he keeps the marquee late block. There's little reason to relegate him to their 2 weakest hours of the day (neck and neck with NBC5 for 2nd at 5pm, and an outright 3rd at 6pm). As for Micah, I'd imagine they're in no rush for her to return, at this point. Her doctors are obviously calling the shots, and not her bosses, but with 2 election nights already missed and summer coming up quick, nothing major should be rushing her potential timeline.

And he will be taking over on weekend mornings, starting next week, I think? Pretty much, anyway, as Iisha Scott's baby is due within 3 weeks, and when she returns, she will be moving to 11am & 4pm with Alex and Marion.

I'll repeat, since some of you are running with that screenshot... WBBM has not debuted the new look. That image is from a promotions department video from last fall. It is not necessarily a sign of their final branding.
-
Even if Tamsen is going on leave, for any extended amount of time, like others have said, they still wouldn't outright replace her in promos. bxxx_pm__bookend_promo_10 (1080p).mp4

Just for the record, this series of videos was posted 7-plus months ago. Things could have changed, since then, but yes, it's the only thing any of us have seen hinting at where they might be headed with the branding.
-
And who's paying for them to have 6 weeknight anchors? Certainly not Nexstar or any sane station owner in 2023.
-
That's a normal thing. My affiliate airs this every morning coming out of the final break of the morning news. She doesn't have a newsy role, but I'm guessing she has the availability to provide these pre-recorded previews throughout the morning.

And WJZ.

New 3, for sure, with no CBS eye attached during the news. The flair of the new numeral is lost when at such a small scale, in the box, with the eye.
-
The final product is green, but unfortunately, the 3 is co-branded with the CBS eye in the box, like New York and others. Paired with the black ticker, it's a very handsome look.

I was just telling a friend yesterday that I think Ravi's slot either goes to Mark, or an outsider. No in-between.
-
A Thursday, this was only their 5th night in the newly-built NBC Tower.
-
Who's on at noon, then?
-
Cheryl Nelson That said, out of personal curiosity, what are the weather assignments on FOX5, these days, under normal circumstances? Mike on GDNY, Nick at night (ha), but where does everyone else appear?

ABC NEWS ALUMNI ASSEMBLE!

I believe they bridged the overnight gap just last week.

Angry online comments ≠ accurate representation of anything, ever The viewers who don't give a damn about the changes make up the majority opinion, and they're not leaving comments to say that.
-
Welllllllll...you're kind of correct. This logo has been plastered over on the station's creative services channel. While it hasn't launched, and could theoretically still change, it appears that the '3' isn't going away, entirely.

It's been established that new graphics (whether a heavy update or complete overhaul) is coming, this spring, but whether or not they debut Monday is TBD.
-
Update to my earlier question, Brad Edwards is back, and is the 7-9am anchor. https://www.instagram.com/p/CqSzZ3ir_Ir/

The weekend weather anchors split that 3pm shift. One works like M-W, and the other takes Th-F, or something like that. I believe they do the same thing at 11am, too, and it's a pretty normal thing at many other stations.

Not only did Ravi come in to anchor the late news, tonight, but he said farewell to that team, at the end of the program. He was off, last weekend, ahead of his first weekday shifts.
