  1. I don't think it's Studio 32, as this space appears to house the weather computers.
  2. We're not gonna rehash this in another station's thread. Romero is now at KNBC. KTLA is in the past.
  3. It's not. I would know. I've only been actively watching WLS for more than 20 years.
  4. Here, y'all want some of that little stuff? New TOTH ID, new ticker, new top corner icon thingy. Now you see why I didn't initially feel the need to post them all, at once.
  5. Her bio is still on WBBM's site, and I feel like I've seen her in the last month or two, but they have 5 full-timers, so she's not needed as often as before, but it doesn't necessarily mean never again.
  6. We don't need to list EVERY person to ever work at multiple L.A. stations.
  7. The last ~20 minutes of both their Saturday and Sunday 10pm newscasts are billed as 'Sports Xtra,' lasting multiple segments. Sports director Marshall Harris even comes in for the Sunday show, now working Su-Th. It feels a little like KCBS/KCAL's 'Sports Central.'
  8. Yeah, some of us who are in the know (and some more than others), are aware of delays and tweaks, etc., but the new look has not been abandoned. I've been seeing more and more trickle out, in my home market, but most of it is not worthy of a mention.
  9. Like the 7 o'clock shows, this is also unavailable for streaming on-demand, but it debuted today. I didn't see any of it, only finding this on Ryan's Instagram story, but there's no reason why this can't turn into a Sunday night offering, as well, since WLS is the only Chicago station not in the highlight show game. bandicam 2022-09-23 22-53-09-581_Trim.mp4
  10. ...And Erin made her return today, but her feature stories will air on Thursday, starting next week.
  11. I think everyone's set serves them well, with no duds among them, but this is the big breath of fresh air WMAQ's visual aesthetic needed. Despite the screens remaining in the same spots, added set pieces made for a huge upgrade.
  12. With no audience for Windy City Weekend, and the 7pm newscasts using the talk show couch space, I think it would be in ABC7's interest to at least explore improvements to use the space better, or make the sets a little more cohesive in their look. But that's for another thread.
  13. HEADLINE: CBS2 HAS A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH A FORMER ANCHOR Yes, you read that right. She'll be filing reports for the station, throughout the next week's ceremonies.
  14. I only saw Monday's show, and Michael Brownlee was solo. The weekend evening meteorologist gave the forecast, but I don't know if that'll be split duties, like 11am, or if someone else was off.
  15. Are these stations getting paid by the letter/word? 'CBS [Market] MORNINGS' (KCNC and WBBM are two that come to mind) surely gets the job done, in a more concise manner.
  16. With those currently-microphoneless arms over the table, this is clearly gonna be something like a podcast, with a video feed. What the hell would anybody expect from a podcast set?
  17. That was surely based on where GE was headed, with the abandoned block logo NBC [CITY], and a downplayed local brand. At one point, the anchors and reports would've simply signed off as "NBC News." Comcast had a different plan, and here we are today, with the channel number intact. Was it as late at 2010/11, though? I feel like the standalone peacock appeared when the 2 sets were redone for HD, so late 2007/early '08.
  18. Ultimately, it's none of our business, but I'd guess there's a certain Covid-related reason that two of the top meteorologists (Miller & Cheryl Scott) in town use other studios, away from their fellow on-air talent, but that's not a discussion for this thread.
  19. We're so busy talking about stuff that can change colors, but no one mentioned the possibility of this.
  20. No, not at all. There were serious hints of the rebrand launching there, and the 9am open being different than anything else is worth a mention.
  21. Ladies and germs, might I suggest we not do play-by-play of our local stations, checking in to say that nothing has changed? All signs, at this time, are pointing to a package launch closer to, if not during or even after November. From now on, let us know when you see something legitimately new. Otherwise, we might just have to locked up this thread, for a bit.
  22. Are you sure this wasn't the local update during NBC News Daily?
  23. And Chris Tye now co-anchors Sunday nights.
