1. It's hungry.
2. Feder hinted this morning that there will be another retirement announcement in Chicago media by the end of the year. Whether or not it's someone from WGN is unclear. There admittedly isn't a long list of retirement-aged personalities left among the 5 stations, so it might be quick to predict, unless, of course, it's someone from behind the scenes, print, or radio.
3. They posted the special report on their YouTube page, and David joined her, at some point.
4. A lovely tribute from Tom: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10155848141451760
5. It's going to be getting crowded at the retired anchor bingo hall.
6. Two little notes from the first day without Mark: Ben is pulling the shift tonight, and he's wearing the tie Mark gave him at the end of the four on Friday. Also, they're prepared to go without a named replacement for awhile, as the 6 o'clock hour of the evening show is using a talent open with the 4 remain anchors.
7. They mentioned on the air tonight, adding that insurance won't cover a lot the bills, so a funding account has been set up by friends.
8. I knew I'd find it.
9. Hey people. Respect that.
10. They really stretched the use of the old studio, especially with a relatively stationary anchor, though they even made up some stand-ups for his final Thanksgiving in 2015. He was like the first anchor to stand in the new weather center for the toss, and he stood in front of the desk with Jerry and Jim in the anchor chairs to close the show.
11. Find their YouTube page (I don't have it in front of me). It's so much easier to rifle through those and you should get an answer.
12. Thanksgiving: Five newscasts Two male anchor One female anchor One sports anchor And TWO meteorologists, because screw you, logic. But hey, they let Jerry do the 10.
13. Who wants to help stock the 'Man of the People' office? http://manofthepeople.tv/wishlist/ No, this is not a joke. Mostly.
14. With all the turnover there in the 90's, I'm not surprised. I believe he was brought in to push out (or at least take seniority over) Steve Baskerville, but it never came together like they wanted it to.
15. I don't know what that was all about. WLS and KABC's bio pages had the same problem that long ago, though they were resolved quickly. On the other hand, KABC's full header logo is their pre-2015 condensed font wordmark, and the small header image for WLS is their logo with the 2007 shiny ABC.
16. That's who I was thinking, but I couldn't remember her name for anything. It doesn't help that she was only filling in, and didn't hold a formal anchor position.
17. Okay, old-timers. Anyone know who this anchor is? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1q8cNCBRmZY
18. Winner.
19. And the promo...
20. That looks even shittier than I expected.
21. Is it possible that McDonald's contract for the naming rights ensures national carriage?
22. Until they have enough confidence (ratings proof) in that early team, Larry, Robin, and company will go on at 6, and continue to beat everyone else in that hour.
23. Dan Ponce and Lauren Jiggetts are hosting this year's Thanksgiving Parade.
24. Richard Roeper is back on "Windy City Live". Today was his first official day back as movie critic, a role he served in for 3 years before leaving for Fox.
25. I'm still waiting for WFLD to use the OSI theme properly.
