  1. Reporter Kim Hudson (whom joined back in May) is stepping in for morning show traffic reporter Chandler Lutz -- who will be on maternity leave for the next several months.
  2. I really love this set. It's big and open like the early 18th season set, yet as inviting and personable and as warm as-- no, make that warmer than the set of mid-18th season onward. And it's definitely giving Midtown loft like the sets of the single-digit seasons. I so can't wait to go to a taping now.
  3. This would've looked amazing in the past when a design like this worked (with limitations of course) -- or any time in another country. But this looks pleasantly bizarre here in this decade. Of course, I'll give it a better opinion when I see it in action, but not the best first impression so far.
  4. Season 28 from the new home/studio (2)/set premieres on September 3. Here's a teaser.
  5. Kelly Clarkson Show season 6 premieres on September 23.
  6. The Drew Barrymore Show will be back for season 6. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/the-drew-barrymore-show-renewed-cbs-1235981879/
  7. The Jennifer Hudson Show's 3rd season premieres on September 16
  8. CW never did that great in the ratings when CBS co-owned it, and did well financially thanks to Netflix, so they should expect this now.
  9. Wow! the last set was fantastic in its own right. So this new creation must be a glorious godsend (exaggerating, yes, but still). I really can't wait to see it in action (pun intended).
  10. The Evening News is getting an overhaul - with a move back to the Broadcast Center, an anchor duo of John Dickerson and WCBS' Maurice DuBuois (alongside Face the Nation's Margaret Brennan and WCBS' Lonnie Quinn), a new production leadership and an infusion of the production style and content of 60 Minutes. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/new-cbs-evening-news-anchors-john-dickerson-maurice-dubois-1235963606/ https://deadline.com/2024/08/cbs-evening-news-anchors-john-dickerson-maurice-dubois-1236028559/
  11. Political correspondent Jessica Dean (formerly at KYW) will be the weekend evening anchor of Newsroom. Donie O'Sullivan has also been promoted to Senior Correspondent.
  12. WBD is taking NBA to court.
  13. I don't know. I don't even watch it.
  14. A new half-hour true-crime series, Crime Expose, with former ET and Access Hollywood co-anchor Nancy O'Dell as host, will launch on 9/23. https://deadline.com/2024/06/crime-expose-with-nancy-odell-1235984273/
  15. It's a group of FAST channels streaming talk, court and reality shows. It's available on Pluto TV. There's a subchannel I noticed recently for WPSG as well.
  16. Daily Blast Live will end on 9/6.
  17. Here's the debut broadcast. Coming after the previous set which looked amazing in its own right, this looks incredible and breathtaking. GFX look great too.
  18. TheWrap is reporting the deals are close to finalizing.
  19. No, it didn't. I watched the day it debuted; that never started at that time. KYW's current set debuted less than 2 months before even KP(I/Y)X debuted their AR weather concept.
  20. Unless it happened sooner, I tuned in to KYW just now to find they have finally followed KPIX/KPYX's lead in utilizing augmented reality graphics in their NEXT Weather reports.
  21. Hot Bench and repeats of Judge Judy will continue in syndication through 2025-26.
  22. After a successful move late last September, The CW will continue to air the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants for the next 3 years. As part of the new deal, Miss Teen USA will return to broadcast television for the first time since 2007. https://deadline.com/2024/04/miss-usa-teen-usa-cw-deal-1235895057/
