He had a great track record with the BBC & NYT from what I've read. I wish Mr. Thompson the best in reversing and improving CNN's fortunes. From what we've seen on- and off-air recently, they're gonna need all the goodwill they can get.

Not TV news, but still important enough for this topic:
Whenever I was sick at home during my elementary and middle school years, The Price is Right was one of my favorite shows to watch. With his natural charisma, sharp wit, electric personality and almost-instant icon status, he was one of the reasons (if not the main reason) I watched and why the show was (and still is) an enduring hit of American television and touchstone of American popular culture. He (like Betty White) at 99 lived a long, beautiful life that will forever live on through his incredible career, the show and both of their enduring legacies.
Condolences to his family.
May he rest in peace.

The Conners is finally coming to syndication.
"Tom Werner’s Werner Entertainment, the production company behind ABC’s popular comedy series The Conners, has signed a global licensing deal with Lionsgate’s Worldwide Television Distribution Group and Debmar-Mercury to make past seasons of the sitcom available on streaming and in syndication."

Persoanlly, I honestly don't mind local morning newscasts in most markets going back to starting later. Most reports (outside of breaking news) that air at the 4am hour typically would be repeated during the rest of the broadcast anyway. And just because a lot of people wake up before 4am, that doesn't mean everyone does.

That's not just Carlson's old timeslot -- it's O'Reilly's, too.
Okay and...?

Tucker Carlson has an official replacement in his old timeslot - Jesse Watters.
(Laura Ingraham and Greg Gutfeld will move to earlier timeslots [the latter's to the former's] .)

I really like the package. To me they impove on the last set, the L3s are great, and the addition of purple is well-utilized. I also hate that "Breaking News" is still used for first stories but it is what it is.

Yep. I saw it with WPHL (very obvious yes) back when Nexstar confirmed their majority acquisition of The CW.
On 8/15/2022 at 9:55 AM, Action Newsroom said:WPHL picking up the network is the most logical scenario. At least it gets to be O&O again instead of just an affiliate (and a barely recognized one at that).
So I'm not surprised in the slightest. I can't wait for the stations' new era with The CW.

I really like the title logo. Simple, yet bold.
I love the slit on the opposite sides of the N's, which of course correlates with the short N\N logo.
(Sidebar: the G reminds me of the SNL
pre-season 40 logo, which I also love).

I honestly thought - due to his previous work - that Licht would be a great fit for CNN, but I was wrong. Here's hoping the next leader will really improve the network. But at this point, it feels like a longshot.

Even though I don't watch golf, I did not see this coming... and I don't know how to feel about this.

Todd will depart in September and will be succeeded by Welker - Chief White House Correspondent, co-anchor of Saturday Today and his MTP Now co-host.

Probably because no one at all would want to watch it (or even want it) to begin with.

You don't know that, you don't know that, I'm being neutral on this, but he may have worked at WABC. So this reaction by several of you guys are to stop and it not “caca” cause you dont know that he obviously has been around her and worked with her either at WABC or WPVI. This is a good time to mention this was the same reaction when former Channel 7 anchor Charles Perez took a blowtorch to the station telling his experiences about some of the anchors, hello he worked there too. I'm not saying whether I believe it or not but I'm staying neutral if I knew SA yes I defend her however i’d be neutral about it and listen to both sides, including the accuser. They're is a cause an effect unless you are mentally ill no man calls a woman that word for no reason this is why I'm neutral because there must've been a reason for it, not defending him using that word but again there is has to be a reason. I'm not saying SA is a bad person but he has more experience with her because that’s was his co-anchor. When Camilie Edwards got fired for fostering a toxic work environment you guys went into full drive and said she should be fired I remember that, I could've called the allegations against her “caca” the bottom line is you don't know what happened.
I'm defending @nynewsguy
Personally I've been interested in the business I contacted on Linkedin some anchors they don't even respond. I could understand a network reporter not responding but not a local feel like WABC, WNBC, WCBS anchors think there network correspondents because they work in the #1 market, they get paid a lot with salaries that's close to or network level money. And they have drivers and specific specifications like network journalists this is for them I'm sure Los Angees and Chicago anchors have those experiences too, the reality is you simply don't know and stop disregarding his account that made me really mad, stop ostracizing!
Do you? Do you? You don't seem to prove this. I'm not being neutral about this. So why are you hitting back at just me? I never called for anyone to be fired in this situation (or even never heard of Camile Edwards before), or said literally anything about this topic until earlier today. This long post equates to almost nothing to me. You have your right to defend them and I (and all else who did) have the right to criticize them. Don't like it? Too bad. So is this not ostracizing??

Listen guys -
what I said was that SA has been the same person for 20 years. She is not the nicest person. She knows how to be fake. If she doesn’t feel like she can gain something from you - she’s not very friendly. That is caca, and you know it. And I won't even wanna ask for proof too.

If these are the new graphics, then they are not great.
If this is an update, it's not bad; it's alright.
