It won't last long. It happened twice in 2009 and then in 2016 with Kaity and Brenda Blackmon only lasting 8 months.
Agreed. It was especially a disappointment that the second version didn't last, and Tong & Blackmon weren't moved over to the other weekday timeslots (and Tamsen Fadal was).

You left out Phil Donahue and SJR (Sally).
Because I never watched Donahue (I was two years old when it ended) and I barely remember hearing of Sally (I only saw bits of it to watch the news).

I'm not gonna lie. I've spent a lot of hours in my childhood (even during school and sick days) watching Maury, and got more a kick out of the varieties of absurdity, frailties, and humanities from the thousands of guests (some repeat of course).
I stopped watching a few years ago, because of the repetitive and formulaic nature (just DNA and lie detector test result shows), the same audience reactions and obvious hypocritical sympathy for female guests and apathy for male guests (no matter what they've done) finally turned me away, but I will watch the last episodes with the fondest farewell.
I saw Maury the host as a daytime TV icon on the level of Bob Barker, Barbara Walters, Pat & Vanna, Alex Trebek and Oprah Winfrey. Because of it, I've always wanted to attend a taping since, and finally did so a few years ago; it was as awesome as I thought it would. Honestly, it was not only a perfect guilty pleasure of mine, but it was also unintentionally the ultimate PSA for kids and teenagers to never have sex early or cheat on your romantic partner. Of course, some never got the message, which helped the show thrive all these (three!) decades in the first place.
I'll totally miss it, for better or worse. It gave me a time to escape from whatever was going on in my life and watch as other people had their lives turned upside down by a piece of paper, some strangers watching it all as if it's a circus sideshow and the Ringmaster being as compassionate and sensitive (and secretly annoyed and amused) as possible. And it was all worth it.
Until next time, Maury.

Any chance you could remove that black background? The link in there is pretty much invisible.
I never planned on putting it there, nor was there an option for that.

Another causality: Nick Cannon’s talk show has been cancelled after only one season. Last new episodes airing in May

Wow. I enjoyed watching these two and both were entertaining in their own ways. It really feels like the next syndicated talk season will be unrecognizable -- if not even more than it is now.

Jerry Springer will hang up his costume-- uhh, robe, and vacate his pipe dream-- I mean bench. Judge Jerry has been canceled, with its current third season being its last.

Licht is an excellent choice. He made CBS This Morning a legit news program worth watching and improved Late Show with Stephen Colbert into a must-watch and genuinely funny late-night talk show. When his tenure goes into effect, I'll definitely watch CNN regularly again.

Scripps has renamed one of its diginets again....
First known as Escape, then renamed Court TV Mystery. It is now named Ion Mystery.
Honestly, Ion is a much better spinoff brand for Mystery than Court TV ever was -- since it is very well known as the cop/crime drama rerun network, so this makes so much sense.

Was the company known as "VEE-a-com" before? Some of the 80s variants seem to think so.
Apparently, yes.

And just as I grew to love (read: tolerate) ViacomCBS lol. This is a name they should've went with the first time (either that or CBSParamount) but personally I'm satisfied with the change nonetheless.

We may be seeing a lot more of Sherri Shepherd on The Wendy Williams Show. In fact, if all goes well, we may be seeing her return to the talk game (after her stint on The View) with her own show.

Those are both clones of the WCBS set as are WBBM, WJZ, KPIX and others. I'm guessing they'll get the same set.
I know that. I meant a variation similar to those "clones".

Jim Donovan announced on Facebook this morning that the studio is being revamped.
Finally. The updates to the main desk area and the big screen were good, but they needed a completely new set for way too long. While I expect a set on-par with most of the other O&Os, I hope they get a set like KDKA or WBZ.
