  1. I love this new look of the streaming network. The graphics look simple but great, the new music sounds amazing and the set looks fantastic (and the desk finally has a regular home). This whole new look is very well done and better than both ABC and NBC by far.

  2. As mentioned in "CNN to Launch CNN+":

Wolf Blitzer will anchor a primetime program titled The Newscast with Wolf Blitzer.

According to the network, it will be “hitting the headlines you need to know on this traditional evening news show with a sleek, modern twist. The old-school nostalgic approach featuring original reporting from around the world, investigations, and consumer focused stories that matter help put the latest headlines in perspective.”

He will continue anchor The Situation Room on CNN proper.

    That's nice.

I’ve never changed my name. Listen, I can go back and forth with you all week if you’d like, but I prefer not to. Just give it a rest. It’s ok to have a difference of opinion. No need to throw insults.

No thanks, I don't want to; I gave it a rest hours ago. I just wanted to finish my piece and move on. If you do, fine. I apologize that you felt that way.

I’m relaxed. Clearly you are not. But I’ve seen you go back and forth with others in the past (maybe that’s why you change your username often) so I’m also done. Enjoy your day.

Whatever, bud. Good to know. I admit yes, and that's my fault; apparently twice is often to you, but no that's not the reason. And you too have a nice day.

I’m not trying to argue with you or put words in your mouth. Just don’t see the big deal/difference between 2 hours and 2.5 hours, especially when it’s commonplace among other stations in Philly and around the country.

Okay, you relax. Not everyone does 2.5 hour TV news shifts every weeknight. That's the thing. And that's also commonplace. I didn't see a big deal or difference either until earlier. That's just my opinion. I'm done here.

The morning team is on for 3 hours plus GMA cut-ins. Jim and Jackie do 2.5 hours each. Why shouldn’t he?

That being said, wonder if Christie will factor in at all, either sliding in at 10pm, or at noon, with Brian going back to 10pm.

I will say again color me shocked that they didn’t go with co-anchors at 11pm.

I will say again, I said two hours a night. Mornings is one completely different thing. Since Jim and Jackie does more, that's their prerogatives. But I'm referring to Rick. Don't put words in my mouth.

Did he say he wouldn’t continue on the 10pm? No reason to think he will stop just because he’s picking up the 11pm.

It was mentioned at the end of the show.. He said he'll be back from time to time to cameo. Sorry, I should've made that clear in my last post. I mean why should he stay at 10pm? I wouldn't want to spend more than 2 hours to a night if I were him.

Here's something to ponder: If Chris Cuomo had been promoted from newsreader to co-anchor of GMA when Diane Sawyer took over WNT (and he was passed over in favor of George), then all three of the major networks would have ultimately lost their morning show male co-anchors to sexual harassment complaints.

Crap, that gives you pause doesn't it? ABC dodged a major bullet.

  9. Today marks the 70th anniversary of the debut of CBS' Eye logo -- one of the greatest, most influential and enduring representations of television ever made.

Here's a Sunday Morning segment from 2001 for it's 50th anniversary revealing its origins:
