  1. WWJ is going to be the second. Once CBS News Detroit debuts, will Detroit Now become CBS News Detroit Now, on CW50?
  2. Early January for WWJ.
  3. WWJ got rid of the CBS62 branding three months ago, in favor of ‘CBS Detroit.’ i think the CBS ‘name city’ branding is going to be across the board.
  4. Shaina Humphries (a new hire from WTXF Iin Philadelphia) is at the end of the promo. More than likely, she will be one of the lead anchors.
  5. https://www.The Other Site.com/2022/11/29/cbs-news-detroit-promos/ New promo for CBS News Detroit. Looks like 4-6:30 and 11 pm will be it, for now.
  6. It’s looking like January will be the launch.
  7. CBS News Detroit should have a launch date very soon. Maybe in a week or two. Word is, they are very close. The new set is either done or very close to being done.
  8. Figured!! This is obviously a corporate issue. CBS Detroit is also still hiring. Any other reason for the delay??
  9. to my understanding, the news set and newsroom are practically done or close to being done. I just think CBS is tying a lot of loose ends. I do think the actual debut will be in December, latest in January.
  10. CBS News Detroit, imo, is expected to debut in the next three or four weeks. With how the new hires are talking, this might be the case. I think the latest will be January.
  11. Heard different things about WWJ. Heard later this month, heard after the New Years. All I know that it’s soon. I’m assuming the set is practically done, as the pictures that are public are from last month. Just need an official date.
  12. I feel CBS News Detroit is being pushed to late November the earliest. There are rumors of set delays, which is why it’s taking so long. All I know is, they are close. Very, very close.
  13. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CkHCnTgDKV0/?igshid=MDJmNzVkMjY= Saw this earlier. Looks like CBS News Detroit is getting closer to its launch.
  14. WXYZ in Detroit just changed their mics to show the new ABC logo. They are also using the new ABC logo in their promotions a lot more. The issue is their news openings as it still features the old ABC logo. Scripps need to allow their ABC stations to upgrade to the new ABC logo in their news openings.
  15. No shocker there. I think Fox Television Stations is about to make some changes at WJBK and make changes. WJBK is not the strong station it was in the early 2000s up until 2015. I think Fox is looking to get it back on track. I think this is about to be updated in a few weeks. I feel there are about to get rid of this opening.
  16. WJBK needs to upgrade its news open. It’s using the same one from 2018, while most of it’s sister stations all updated theirs.
  17. Funny that WEWS in Cleveland is still using the old logo, while it’s sister stations in Detroit (WXYZ) and Cincinnati (WCPO) are both now using the new ABC logo. Just strange. It’s an WEWS thing in my opinion, not a Scripps thing.
  18. Looks like the 7 Action News logo is staying the same with the new WXYZ (Detroit) logo. Just a slight modification to fit the new ABC logo.
  19. It looks like the O&Os are kinda rebelling! Not surprising, since the new ABC logo is big. Former O&O WXYZ looks like it’s going all in, because they use the ABC logo to the right of the Circle 7, thus making it easier to implement. It’s closer to the version WXYZ used in the early 2000s for their general program promotions. The only concern is, will they change the Action News logo. My guess is, they are already working on that. I don’t think ABC affiliates WEWS (Cleveland), WCPO (Cincinnati) or WJLA (DC) have used the new ABC logo as of yet. Those three stations, two which are owned by Scripps, might be rebelling.
