Trust me, I'm not throwing stones at KSHB or any other competitor. Fortunes can flip quickly in this business.

I can't stand the sidebar graphic, it reminds me of ESPN.
That particular night, they only used the sidebar graphic in the first block.

WDCW's new 10pm newscast debuts tomorrow night. I gotta say I'm excited for this, thankfully it's not going to be one of those "Newsfix" or "News w/ a Twist" type shows. It'll be interesting to see how local Tribune is going to make this, especially with it being produced from WTVR's studios down in Richmond.

Minor newscast note here at FOX 4: our Saturday A.M. news will shift to the 6:00-8:00 a.m. slot, instead of 7:00-9:00, starting April 23. The Sunday a.m. news remains 7:00-9:00.

Yes, the TEGNA buyout program is company-wide as far as I know. Qualifications may vary from station to station.

Is it someone's photoshop? My apologies if it is. It looked like someone took a photo of their TV with their phone. I saw on Twitter, but not from Lieberman.

One of my former reporters, Gia Vang, is going to be an anchor at KMPH in Fresno. She had been reporting most recently at KPNX in Phoenix.

WTOL dealt seven employees out of the deck. I wonder who was so offended as to make the effort to contact Raycom HR?

I like WDAF FOX 4. I think they're really good. In fact, I think in the last major ratings period, WDAF won in every timeslot except weeknights at 6:00 and 10:00pm but is a strong #2 in those timeslots.
Btw, why isn't WDAF on at 10:30pm on Saturdays?
I'm not sure. That's generally our worst-rated newscast. I imagine the meteorologist and the male anchor, who also do the morning shows on weekends, are happy to have the extra half-hour of sleep.

KTVI in St. Louis is starting an 11:00 pm weeknight newscast on January 18:
http://fox2now.com/2016/01/01/jasmine-huda-to-join-fox-2s-shirley-washington-for-new-11pm-newscast/
KTVI tried an 11:00 p.m. news back in the '70s (as an ABC affiliate).
KTVI is just doing this to sell local ads and save syndication money. That's the only reason we go past 10:30 at WDAF-TV. We're typically in the 3.0-rating range by the time the newscast ends.
