  1. If this does happen, I wouldn't be surprised if he returns to WABC at some point after he gets more news experience at WEWS.
  2. I wish WABC would make a promo with set up like what WLS created here... This looks amazing it'd be nice to see WABC take a page out of WLS's book.
  3. And this right here is just one example of why I am getting sick of this website. Everyone here is out to get everyone else in the most condescending ways. Newsflash to everyone on this site, if we all just treated each other with a little more respect and took ourselves a little less seriously (because 99% of the people on this site are not insiders anyway), maybe this site would be a kinder and more welcoming place rather than a hateful and negative environment. I guess since everyone is behind a computer, common decency doesn't exist. I digress.
  4. I don't like the new bug or that the L3 stays on the screen. I think if the bug was REALLY slow and changed less frequently it would be alright but it's too much for a network evening newscast. I do like the new L3 though.
  5. This is really disappointing. Diane made Andrea bearable and with Diane gone, I hope they take this as a chance to dump Andrea too. She's a great reporter but she just doesn't come off as natural as an anchor.
  6. I really don't see Shirleen getting the 11pm yet. Maybe in a few years but not yet. And I also don't see Diana retiring soon, I think she has another 7-10 years before she decides to leave. ---- Fun thought, what if WABC is planning to add another newscast, maybe at 7pm. Noon: David & Shirleen 4: Liz & David 5: Diana & Shirleen 6: Bill & Liz 7: Rob & Sade 11: Bill & Sade While completely hypothetical, this would give Shirleen an expanded role, it would give Rob an anchoring position that could set him up to eventually replace Bill and it would give the 7pm newscast a big name anchor like they did at 4pm with Liz. And in this scenario, Lori and Shirleen could be swapped depending on what Lori's contract says, etc... Just a fun thought but one that could actually work. And I get pretty irritated when people think adding curse words adds to their argument. Sorry but completely unnecessary. If they were going to just completely dump Sade from the 5 & 11 (doubtful), I think Lori is the only current WABC anchor that would be able to make such a transition successful. Shirleen is way too new at WABC to already take on the 11pm based on what we've seen WABC do in the past. If this was WNBC, WCBS or any other station it would be possible but a big reason WABC has been #1 is because they have anchors that people know and trust and they don't make anchor changes often and I don't see that changing now.
  7. It seems like WABC is trying to get more exposure for Shirleen than anything else.
  8. Sam is filling in on GMA, not at ABC. Rob is still the ABC employee of the two of them so of course ABC wants Rob to be on.
  9. And....? I haven't made my decision either.
  10. I think a show with Joy (moderating), Candace, Sunny, Sara and Paula would be good. Getting rid of Whoopi should get rid of the drama and make the hosts more unified and getting rid of Raven and Michele just does us all a great favor. If Whoopi does resign, I imagine that maybe ABC will sign her to a one year contract and allow Whoopi to have her 10th and final season then.
  11. The View has been renewed for their 20th season. http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/abc-renews-the-view-for-20th-season/285391 Wonder if Whoopi will be returning.
  12. What a great add by WNBC. I hope he gets more than just the 4pm. I wouldn't be surprised if Stefan is Chuck's replacement in a few years. My guess is they will want Sibila on the 4pm just like Liz was added to the 4pm so that they can get more people interested with a known NY anchor.
  13. Shiba favorited my tweet wishing her luck so it seems like thats enough to confirm it.
  14. Looks amazing, if WGN goes with this, they will certainly have the best studio in the market.
  15. It was a good Monday for CTM for sure.. http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/post-super-bowl-cbs-this-morning-has-best-show-in-15-years/284382
  16. Here's what I could see: 4: Linda & Hosea 5: Cheryl & Rob 7: Linda & Hosea 6 & 10: Alan & Kathy
  17. She just didn't do very well with WNBC and that hurt her. She's not a bad anchor though, this could be a good thing for WFLD because she has experience in a better newsroom than WFLD and maybe can add to the station.
  18. Last week was a big week for CTM, closing the total viewer gap with Today to a little under 900,000 viewers, their best week in 22 years. http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/cbs-this-morning-has-biggest-audience-in-22-years/283921
  19. I'm surprised her husband wasn't able to save her job. He must have some say considering he is their main anchor with Dari in the evenings.
  20. Today also had WIllie and Al in Iowa too.
  21. GMA needs to be on the top of their game. They don't have lee-way with Today on their way up the ratings ladder.
  22. I don't know why they don't just use this because it looks amazing.
  23. World News Tonight wins second week in a row in total viewers. http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/evening-news-ratings-week-of-jan-4/281817 The ratings race continues... This is ABC's first real boost of momentum since Lester officially got the job.
