  1. I feel like George is more relaxed on the 40 for 40 and it's nice to see him just relax with the correspondents. George is talking to Martha right now who is in Iraq and it's nice because it seems as though they are just having a casual conversation.
  2. I wonder if ABC is considering a CBSN like operation because I'm really enjoying having this non-stop ABC coverage. I'd really like to see ABC do something like CBSN and they could even stream in on their digital channel all the time.
  3. They have Charlie, Diane, Joan, David, Sam and Spencer on right now and they just brought in Geraldo Rivera from Paris. With Sam and Josh visiting, I wonder if they will try to get to the executives and see if they can get some kind of spot at ABC again because both are basically hidden by NBC.
  4. When they leave GMA for good? I think we have quite a few years before ABC even needs to think about that. Of course it is always good to have a backup but I don't see either making a move anytime soon.
  5. And that's why there are many channels to choose from. Unless you have something substantial to add to the thread, we don't need to hear your complaining.
  6. There's a whole schedule of the 40 hours at http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/fullpage/good-morning-america-40th-anniversary-35106870##bottom They will do a behind the scenes look of GMA while the east coast broadcast is on air.
  7. If someone is going to post on here, I just ask that they do their homework before posting something that is clearly out dated and out of touch.
  8. There is a GMA thread in the network section. There is already a discussion on GMA's 40 hour broadcast.
  9. GMA's 40 for 40 broadcast isn't supposed to be hard news, its supposed to be a fun celebration of GMA's 40th Anniversary. And if you've watched GMA over the past month, you have had to notice that GMA has gotten a lot more serious and I'd put it in between Today and CBS This Morning on a hard news to fluff spectrum. They've really toned it down and brought news back to GMA.
  10. The CBS Evening News beat ABC WNT on Friday with all the day's breaking news. http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/evening-news-ratings-week-of-nov-9-2/277690
  11. I think the Meet the Press studio would be a cool style for a morning show.
  12. I find it interesting Today and GMA went in completely opposite directions with their sets. GMA went more wood and homey while Today went more industrial and poppy.
  13. I wonder if ABC would pick her up for GMA.
  14. And they do still have some, just less which is certainly a plus because they went way to far with the fluff for a while. Agreed, and I think ABC has realized that and fixed it. Agreed, that part at 0:47 is really great.
  15. They actually fixed the open today, yesterday must've been faulty because there actually is a theme to go with the open voiceover. So that is a good fix; also the white type on the ticker is also a nice fix. Also, in terms of content, it seems like GMA is moving a little more serious. The first hour is basically all news now and Pop News doesn't show up as quickly in the second hour anymore. I like this shift for GMA.
  16. Agreed, I think Savannah is the new star of Today; she really is great on the show. I was never a huge fan of Al and I'd like to see Dylan replace him. Natalie is good but I agree she just doesn't seem to like NBC anymore, my only problem with Natalie leaving is that Tamron is her heir apparent and I am not a fan of Tamron as news anchor. And finally, I would love to see Matt replaced but I'm not a huge Willie Geist fan and Carson is definitely not journalistic enough to co-host Today.
  17. The new theme is up! http://www.networknewsmusic.com/wp/good-morning-america-2015-theme/ I have always said CTM is my favorite theme but I think this just may surpass it in my book.
  18. GMA has a pretty jam packed November with big guests and performances. I think this marks the start of GMA's response to Today. This month should be a big one for the morning show wars.
  19. Really? I always liked it and the new one may be my favorite.
  20. The new desk reminds me a lot of the desk they used before the wavy one. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/04/28/article-2614718-1D6A125400000578-706_634x362.jpg I wonder if they will update America This Morning with similar graphics too.
  21. So I just listened to the new theme, I have to say I absolutely love it. I wish there was some kind of formal open besides a voiceover but it is a really nice theme. They should've at least made a standing section for her.
  22. Overall a HUGE improvement. They have a few tweaks to make but a very nice upgrade. And I like the return of wood on the set again. Actually looks less tabloid-y than Today.
