That's true, that's not new news though. I think bigger news is that ABC cut the gap with NBC in total viewers by -48% this sweeps. That is very impressive. Still I commend NN for a good sweeps as well.

I don't think Tracy should be mad. I don't think she was really seen as the front runner to replace Jerry. I think both Phil and Mike should be mad though. They have been around for a while now, and while we never really knew which would, we expected them to go with one of them to replace Jerry. Ideally, I think Mike should have gotten 6&11 and Phil should have gotten 4 & 5 or vis-versa. Then Troy could have taken over on the weekends.

We didn't miss it, we discussed this a while ago. We discussed this on October 20th.

He seems a little rehearsed which I'm sure would go away with time. As for the dramatic part, I don't think its that bad, I think Cecilia does it more. I think it's just how he speaks, he did it at WNBC too.

He's doing well; he and Rebecca are my favorites to fill the spot.

WABC is in a really good position. Pretty much all of the anchors can fill in with each other and they have great chemistry. Many news departments wish they were in that situation. Hell, the least frequent pairing is probably Diana and Liz and they were great when they anchored together.

So David was off for the first time last night. Amy Robach filled in for him.

This is completely my opinion, but this time around, after 3 years the current graphics don't look outdated. The previous graphics and even the ones before that, in my opinion, aged rather quickly. The current ones don't seem to be aging that fast, they still seem rather new and clean. I think some here are thinking, "hey, it's time for new graphics," simply because its fun for us on this website to see and talk about. But in all honesty, I personally don't see a need for WABC to get new graphics yet. As I mentioned earlier, there are a few stations ABC should be working on before they come back to WABC for graphics.

It was just special graphics for the Marathon. It's nothing crazy, they made do with what they had. And to those saying WABC needs new graphics, it's too early. Whether they need it or not, they just updated them in 2011, they aren't doing it so soon. WPVI, KTRK, WTVD and KFSN all need new graphics before WABC does. I would like to see them go to some common graphics. Similar to how KABC and KGO share similar graphics, I would like to see WLS, WABC and WPVI all share similar graphics, following the WLS graphics. I would also like to see WPVI get an updated set and for WLS to get a new desk. But that is just my opinion

It was on "Extra" today. And before everyone bombards me (oh wait, that's happened already) as I have already mentioned, I am not saying it will or will not happen, I am simply relaying what they said for a good discussion. So please don't start yelling at me, I just wanted a good discussion.

I just want to bring it up because I saw it in reports today. There are reports that ABC will cancel The View and expand GMA to 3 hours. Not saying it will or will not happen but I think it is certainly interesting for discussion on this site.

I like it! I can't help but notice they didn't include the morning team. I have a feeling WABC is going to have a promo just like this because they were shooting with shots like this last month.

I think this is going to be just like when GMA began to pass the Today Show. They will go back an forth in viewers for a while and then I think ABC will just start winning more often until they are winning every week. Good job to David Muir!

Honestly, at this point I would rather them just have Chuck and Sibila do 5, 6 & 11pm and have the morning team do Noon and just have less anchor teams.

I know he fills in all of the time for Laura and sometimes Rob, but Anthony Johnson does a great job as sports anchor. If a time comes that Rob moves to news anchor and Laura is moved to weekday sports anchor, Anthony would be a great replacement for the weekend sports anchor spot. He has a perfect, fun personality for it.

With the great success of Michael on the show, it's not surprising. And they are definitely trying to get more men on the program. Good move in my opinion.
