If they promote from within, I think most of us can agree that Kirstin Cole or Lisa Mateo should get the spot. Not sure about male anchor though. Or maybe Kirstin and Lisa should anchor together, like CBS 2 did with Diane and Andrea. Since this is only from TunedIn, I won't assume this is true until Tvspy or PIX itself reports it.

Baruch was there like one day I remember but the rest of the time it's just been the anchors I believe.

Noticed WCBS was using a new background at 5pm, not sure about other dayparts. I couldn't tell but it may even be a live background.

Unfortunately they are like the only two who are unchanged yet again. Morning 5-6 am: Craig Treadway and Kala Rama, Linda Church and Kaitlin Monte Morning 6-9am: Suki and Scott Stanford, Linda Church and Kaitlin Monte 5-6:30 pm- Tamsen and John, Mr. G, and Andy Adler w/ sports 6:30-7pm-Kaity and Brenda, Mr. G and Andy Adler w/ sports 10pm-Tamsen, John, Mr. G, Andy Adler Weekends 5 and 10pm- Kori Chambers, Craig Allen, and Dyrol Joyner w/ sports

Although Suki may very well be a big factor of their low ratings, ratings were high during her early regime, with John Muller, at least from what I remember. I believe they were even beating WNYW at a time (before Rosanna and Greg established chemistry and credibility.) Scott is well liked, and has a fun personality, and has worked with Suki before, so I don't think this is a bad experiment. However, if a year from now, and the ratings are still low, if Suki isn't shown the door or demoted I don't know what to say. Craig and Kala are really good on the weekends, and they're a pretty solid hard news anchor team. However, they are both adapted to mornings in the past, so they'll probably enjoy the change back. As for the Kori Chambers thing, I don't see that working out. I don't think he'll be good solo, and is honestly "Ok" as an anchor. I'm one of the few who tuned in nightly on the weekends to watch Kala and Craig, and formerly Kaity (since they were a really good team in my honest opinion), Kori Chambers just isn't going to do it for me. I think he should get a co-anchor; I was going to say Lisa Mateo, but I think she enjoys doing entertainment fluffy stories in the morning. I think Kirstin Cole might work out, however if they wanted to try that. Even newbie reporter Shirley Chan used to anchor in CT, so if they wanted to give the weekend gig to her I don't see why not. As far as weeknights are concerned, Brenda and Kaity need expanded roles. Tamsen and John have too much airtime, what WABC does seems to work (mashing up their evening anchors). Tamsen and John should stay at 5pm, because that pulls in good numbers. I think at 6pm for the hour we should have Kaity and Brenda, and at 10pm Kaity and John. They can make always Tamsen a featured in-studio reporter for the 10:00 too. If the 6:30 show doesn't work out and pull in numbers, then maybe they should scrap that and invest those resources in a weekend morning newscast or midday newscast. As far as sports is considered, I really feel like the whole PIX11 sports desk thing was created specifically for Scott. Now that Andy will basically be taking charge of that department, they maybe should think about just doing regular sports; or revert back to just having the Sports Desk on Friday nights. I guess that means either Dyrol Joyner or Joe Mauceri will take over the weekend sports. One thing is for sure- Scott's sure going to miss messing with G every night!

Craig treadway confirmed his shift on Twitter so I believe this time it's true. I'm glad they realized that chambers and Krishnan didn't have chemistry however.

Ugggh....Not again... Sorry but if this is true..Not feeling these changes... http://tunedinnyc.com/2016/04/13/big-changes-at-wpix-chambers-to-weekends-stanford-back-to-news/

I agree, she's entitled to her privacy, but there has to be another reason for her absence.

For anyone wondering about an update on Dana Tyler, this may provide some insight. http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2016/4/7/new-york-anchor-has-been-m-i-a

Reporter Jessica Schneider just tweeted that today was her last broadcast on CBS2.

Think it's worth mentioning that Richard Rose is anchoring the news at 9 tonight with Dick Brennan. This is the first time I've seen two men anchor a regular newscast in I don't remember. Also the first time I've seen Richard anchor a broadcast since the station was bought by CBS.

PIX used this background during breaking news today. Still don't understand for the life of me why they don't use this view regularly.
-
Yeah It's been Kristine and Maurice every night. I honestly wish Dick and Alice would fill in. It would be great to get them some exposure to the 6pm time slot, but I guess they're in need of reporters at that time.
-
I personally really like Andrea Grymes, she's seems like a pleasant woman who I liked waking up to. I guess some think she's just a lightweight reporter, but I see nothing wrong with her. I think Andrea and a new male anchor would make a nice team. Diane will be missed though; at one point Diane was the primary fill-in, whether it be the morning, 5pm or covering for Cindy on weekends.

Well this looks like a very scary incident. http://bigstory.ap.org/article/a6785f5929204a598faff6b72380e344/man-waves-gun-behind-tv-reporter-during-live-broadcast

According to this tweet by Greg Mocker, PIX has new mic flags.

Well this is probably their worst nightmare, nothing is working right. Some video of waves crashing keeps playing over everything. Too funny, lol

Well looks like WCBS is having some technical problems trying to get their 5pm newscast up. It's been about 15 minutes of straight commercials since Judge Judy ended. The anchor's are tweeting saying it is in fact technical problems and to stand by. They just actually fixed it now, so the news is finally up. It started pretty shaky though, with the anchors' mics going through the videos, among several other technical problems.

They still use that godawful generic backdrop at night though. Hope they change that too. The one they first used when they debuted the set wasn't bad, not sure why they had to change it. This live camera is my favorite, though. Looks so professional.
-
Totally agree. The blue/black mashup looked much more professional. It was the one that they typically use during the 'sports desk.'
-
Yeah she already started last weekend (Janurary 9th). What I thought was strange was that she took a vacation this past weekend and was off. Typically when you first start at a job you get limited vacation time so I thought it was strange that she would already get a whole weekend off after only being on the job for really 1 week (1 weekend plus the reporting stories she did during select days of the workweek).

Former NBC Connecticut anchor Shirley Chan did a report on WPIX this morning. Suki welcomed her to the show.
-
Yeah I caught a little of it. I mean, it was good, but nothing overly special. Just a regular newscast.
-
Let's not jump to conclusions. Someone asked Chris why he was doing the 5, and he simply replied that Maurice is under the weather and not feeling well. Either way I don't think Maurice would leave WCBS primetime news in the number 1 market for the network unless he was to take Scott Pelley's gig. And I don't see Scott Pelley stepping down quite yet. And I think Dana's pretty happy with the 6 solo.

I totally agree with what you said about Jodi. Sure she was trashed upon at first since she replaced the legendary Kaity Tong and Jim Watkins, but her delivery was much better than Tamsen. Honestly I wasn't a huge fan of Jodi's delivery during the old PIX news at 10 but I think that was only because she was told to present the story in a certain way. IMO, If Jodi were to come back, PIX's ratings would get a boost. On a side note, I've been thinking, what if WPIX created a syndicated entertainment/talk show? I mean, they have Tamsen, Suki, and Oji for starters. Sure, Tamsen is not a great anchor, but she would be an outstanding entertainment show host in my opinion. They could have a lot of different guests talking about the latest celeb news and viral videos and trends. Tamsen is a good host, but she is miscast as a nightly news anchor. Also Kala Rama started today at PIX. I believe her first day is tomorrow on the anchor desk. Based on what I've seen of her, I like her delivery. I think she'll make for a pretty good anchor alongside Craig Treadway.
