  1. According to the TV Guide, PIX11 News at 5 now airs for a full hour on Sundays as well as Saturdays. I guess that Tastemakers show was cancelled, as I can't find it on the guide anymore.
  2. Natalie Pasquarella was anchoring today. I think today was her first day.
  3. It will be Sandra Joe Jeff and Laura according to listings at 5,6 and 11.
  4. Just checked TV listings and it's true. This should be interesting.
  5. Diane Macedo is anchoring for Cindy again tonight. I'm starting to think something's a little fishy. We'll have to see in the coming days and weeks.
  6. Well it seems as if one broadway star wasn't too pleased about WNYW anchors Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly. Take a look: http://pagesix.com/2015/08/18/hamilton-star-slams-clowns-rosanna-scott-and-greg-kelly/

  10. i think so, but on a much reduced role. He only seems to appear when there are medical emergencies or something like that. For the night shows they seem to interview Dr. Nancy Simpkins.
  11. Noticed WPIX has picked up NY1 reporter Rick Boone
  12. WNBC is like WPIX in a way. WNBC has Janice, Steve Villinueva, Chris Cimino, Raphael Miranda, Steve Sosna (is he ever on air?, i've seen him do weather videos online), Andrea Romero (from Telemundo), and now Dave Price. WPIX has Mr. G, Linda Church, and Craig Allen, yet have Joe Cioffi and Chris Knowles who technically aren't a permanent addition to their weather team, yet still appear on air frequently. I've also seen Jeanette Calle and Erika Martin appear around the holidays. And I agree about John Marshall. He should have a steady job somewhere; was always one of my favorites.
  13. Didn't watch but Kaitlin Monte subbed for Suki this morning.
  14. 16. Just thought I'd note Craig Allen hasn't been on PIX that often lately. Maybe it's to give Chris Knowles and Joe Cioffi more air time? I always liked Craig so I hope he stays on. Also according to this page they're still hiring another meteorologist, but that listing has been up since January 12th. https://careers2-tribune.icims.com/jobs/42144/meteorologist/job?hub=8&mobile=false&width=1323&height=500&bga=true&needsRedirect=false&jan1offset=-300&jun1offset=-240
  17. Not sure if it's a permanent edition or not but WLNY is using a crawl tonight on the news at 9.
  18. Rob Powers and Michelle Charlesworth are the team at 4pm.
  19. They're using that hand held cam again tonight. It looks so low quality compared to the studio cam honestly.
  20. For today's world cup parade coverage, WPIX used a live shot as a background. I think it looks much better than the CGI they usually use.
  21. I think they would make a great weekend morning team. Would love to see PIX start a weekend am newscast.
  22. But then Scott would have no more Mr. G jokes to make...he would be devistated. Lol. I think Scott spends more time writing Mr. G jokes than doing the sports ( I like Scott a lot don't get me wrong). I feel like if Mr. G left, Scott would have to go with him. (Part of me is joking and part of me isn't).

  24. Well "Live from the Couch" didn't last too long here in New York. It's pretty hard to start a new kind of show that is successful when there are already established morning news shows on the main stations. It's "too much work" for people to change to a higher channel sometimes, like 57, when you can just change to 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.. At least that's the way I look at it.
