Yeah exactly, they're both used as field reporters. But I agree, if they have enough reporter staff available, they should have Alice & Dick fill in a couple of nights. On another note, Alex Denis was still doing traffic this morning.

I like Ernie Anastos. And I think the viewers like him too, but I agree with nynewslover, I think he's better with real news rather than the fluff show he's on now. But I don't think giving him the boot would be the smart choice. But if they did, I think PIX could pick him up and team him up with Kaity Tong. But that's just pure speculation at this point. But on the 11pm newscast front, that's just too much news in my view. If there's breaking news, they can preempt the Big Bang Theory. If they want to add newscasts, they should try weekend mornings or 1pm or 12pm or heck, why not 2pm. Plus, if it's a slow news night, what would they do at 11pm? There are 3 major newscasts on at 11pm, no real reason for WNYW to join the crowd, if they already have a 10pm newscast.

Well Jill came back on Thursday, and has worked through Friday of last week (she did two entertainment stories at the tail end of the 5pm newscast). Alex did traffic on both Thursday & Friday. Who's on tomorrow, I guess we'll have to wait and see. Would certainly be funny if they kept Alex on traffic and made Jill the evening entertainment reporter or something. CBS 2 has a history of reassigning jobs to people when they come back from maternity leave.

Yup...CBS 2 always doing a fine job staying ahead of the game! EDIT: The 11pm is also streaming. Finally, seems like a permanent change.

Interesting anchor line-ups today: Antwan anchored with Juliet on GDWU and Ben Simmenau anchored with Christina Park today at 5pm. Ben's pretty solid as a hard news anchor, has he ever anchored in the evening before?

CBS 2 is now streaming their 5pm newscast online; not sure if the stream works for the other newscasts, however. Hopefully this is a permanent change. http://newyork.cbslocal.com/live-video/
