they never mention antennas when they have carriage disputes, just other providers, local news and sports will eventually be paywalled, maybe the NFL will give free streams to the primary markets of teams, I'm starting to see commercials for "as seen on TV" products during the local breaks of smaller market stations instead of local business like car dealers I guess ESPN will see massive subscriber drops during the slower times for sports like the summer, but massive increases when football begins again in the fall

isn't sports the only thing keeping linear TV in general afloat? In STL, would ABC be happier on a subchannel of KSDK, KTVI, KPLR, or KMOV instead of a station with no news dept? But maybe Sinclair has more leverage than Scripps

which markets get the most regional games? which markets get nothing beyond the national games? Is really that much demand for the preseason in AL and HI? Do stations just pick up whatever teams are available to them and want to pay for? What are the geographic restrictions if any? How much of a following do the Broncos or Packers have in South Dakota? Could station in Lubbock pick up the Chiefs where KKCL is part of the Chiefs Radio Network? Chiefs will be on KSHB on Saturday but the final preseason game will be on KMCI again due to KSHB carrying NBC's coverage of Kamala's coronation
