Color TV at least made things look more like reality... This is just overlaying a map on top of rather than behind the meteorologist standing in the studio... One is practical and revolutionary, the other is not...

WXYZ has finally added time/temp bugs to its newscasts from Noon onwards except the 11pm. Their mornings and 10pm were already using one.

The issue is that it was said publicly... It's completely quotable. If he is that worried about it then he should have kept his mouth shut. Otherwise it's fair game for a station that writes its own rules...
