  1. Maybe because CBS is stuck with it since the only reason they bought 62 was to keep CBS in Metro Detroit. They actually tried to have a limited news presence on WWJ with First Forecast Mornings and it didn't work well at all because few people watch CBS in the morning to begin with. I'm kind of surprised that Sinclair or Nexstar hasn't tried to take the WKBD/WWJ duo and maybe run it similar to a CW/MNT duopoly.
  2. DOA for the Tegna stations showing this. I also wonder how TD Jakes will keep religion out of this somehow.
  3. If your name is not Denise Dufala or Romona Robinson, you're pretty much in danger of getting fired. I wouldn't be surprised if David Wittman, Tiffani Tucker, or even Catherine Bosley is shown the door at Reserve Square.
  4. Next, your going to have someone post on KDKA's Facebook page sayinf that they support the Illuminati because of the CBS eye.
  5. Simple. Three letters: W...G...N.
  6. Even in times of competitive spirit, it's best to put aside the differences and come together for those in bereavement. Well done, KOCO.
  7. If that was the case, then Scripps would also place KSHB and WFTS in the auction as well. Honestly, WMAR has to wait like a vulture for WJZ to royally mess up and then and only then can they have a shot at being WBAL's new rival.
  8. I'm confused. What are the WPNT call letters supposed to mean?
  9. The WYTV Daybreak anchors doing "Uptown Funk"
  10. WKBN and WYTV on Dec 10, 2007, the first day of the SSA WKBN: WYTV:
  11. Off-topic but why doesn't Disney move Mike and Mike to the main ESPN channel instead? I know it probably gets less viewers than Sportscenter but it will make Mike and Mike more of a household name in the ESPN family. But, I'm glad that at least GMA and M&M will be able to collaborate and even have an occasional tie-in thanks to this move to Times Square.
  12. Well I'm probably in the majority and I think the open lost some punch and now it looks mismatched with the L3s unless NBC plans on changing them in the fall.
  13. On April 20, The Now is going on another victim, I mean, station: WRTV. Just saw a promo for The Now and they're kind of promoting it as a regular newscast. Hopefully, Scripps is going to polish the turd by the time it's on RTV6
  14. I wonder if it's going to be similar in concept to KDKA's Pittsburgh Today Live? If so, then WCCO might have a hit unless the Today Show on KARE and Live on KSTP get really good ratings.
  15. Just saw a pic of of the Texas Thunder Truck and it makes the TIV from Stormchasers look subtle.
  16. I thought KSDK was a powerhouse in ratings in St. Louis. Am I seriously missing something here?
  17. AFAIK, Cox is similar to post-LIN Media General in that it's pretty hands-off in standardizing.
  18. KMCI dosen't air a 9PM news but did between 2000 and 2003. It got cancelled simply because it was getting trounced by WDAF. With KSMO and KCWE now having their 9PM news produced by KCTV and KMBC, respectively, KMCI really won't be able to make much headway, especially considering KSHB is having ratings struggles of its own.
  19. At least one of the legacy Gannett stations (WKYC) keeps its bug on during the weather.
  20. Only if Celebrity Name Game and Family Feud doing poorly.
  21. Here in Youngstown, we are mourning the loss of a weather legend, Don Guthrie, who lost his fight with pancreatic cancer: http://wkbn.com/2015/01/26/beloved-meteorologist-don-guthrie-passes-away/
