  1. What's their slogan? Don't stop, make it pop? TicToc on the clock, but the news don't stop, no! Sorry, had to do it.
  2. This isn't really an Earth-shattering announcement but KSHV, one of the Nexstar stations in Shreveport, has added Ion Television in our area on 45.3. Our first time having it since KPXJ dropped it to join UPN/The CW. Just figured I'd note that here.
  3. Tbh, I always wondered why someone didn't do that way back in the day when it was with MyNetwork. It certainly could have qualified back then.
  4. http://www.centralvalleybusinesstimes.com/stories/001/?ID=33675 Idk if this has already been posted but Fresno people. If y'all are looking to work in Omaha without going to Omaha, Sinclair's got you. You know, cause it's totally in the public interest to have newscasts coming from the other side of the country.
  5. Quincy certainly does come to mind. They should have bought it when they got most of Granite's television stations earlier.
  6. For the time being.
  7. Ik im late but Welcome to the board.

Thanks though. Also thank you for following me.
  8. I can see the whole company going piecemeal with Hearst, Graham and other companies grabbing a piece. A few of these stations are O&O bait as well. Specifically KUSA, WXIA, WCNC and KPNX which could all become NBC O&Os. I can see Hearst getting most of the company with Graham grabbing any conflict stations. Meredith may get a few conflicts as well. IIRC, I discussed this in the Speculatron.
  9. I've already posted my two cents in that thread. There's a lot more to come from them.
  10. How about that time they talked about premarital sex?
  11. I always saw Weigel (or even Hearst/Nexstar/One of the major companies) buying KDOC. It could still happen, and I'd actually still be shocked when it does.
  12. I didn't respond to this part specifically for some reason, but this is the more shocking of the acquisitions. Literally anything could happen after this clears.
  13. Weigel could do that. They've proven themselves great at running major network stations in addition to independents. Granted, WDJT and WBND aren't exactly #1, but you have to give them credit for not throwing in the towel or constantly shaking things up and relaunching constantly. Under them, KNLC would make a fine Fox or ABC affiliate.
  14. Looks like this may just be a warm-up for them. If so, then it'll be interesting to see where they strike next. I'm calling it now. They may end up with KUBE/Houston. MAY.
  15. The only way Sinclair could get it anyway, even if WBOC was for sale, is if the Tribune acquisition falls through. It's been mentioned several times by myself and others on this site that Sinclair will be over the cap by 6% if the acquisition goes forward. They can't buy anymore.
  16. WTVG wouldn't be the only one called on at Gray. WCTV may be another possible target.
  17. I could see a 7pm newscast. Or maybe Fox 9 News Now.
  18. Exactly. Would Raycom necessarily want to run a standalone indie in Hampton Roads? If they were going to pair it with WTVZ (which in all honesty, is an independent itself), I would understand, though. As I have said before, Raycom and Tegna are the only two I could really see geting involved unless all of the stations are sold in separate sales.
  19. WFTC has unveiled its branding of Fox 9+.
  20. If Sinclair does manage to shell WTVZ thohgh, WSKY is their best and only option.
  21. Not yet. In my opinion.
  22. Or a certain merger happens that will be Nexstar's version of the Sinclair-Tribune deal which will almost certainly never happen. Imagine the conflicts on that one.
  23. Good point. Maybe WCMH is not doing so hot lately and they want to reboot the station as WLWC. And then WDTN could go back to being WLWD.
  24. At least, not without a waiver.
