  1. KX 7 for the 7 in 27 would be good as well. Bonus points if they can get the cable providers to place them on channel 7 to match that.
  2. It's been cable only for the most part since 2010(?)
  3. Could we see this be the setup? 27.1: CBS 27.2: CW 27.3: MNT This is one possibility I could see.
  4. Hilton Howell and Co would be fools not to get that and make a duo from those two stations.
  5. http://www.tvnewscheck.com/article/111131/gray-creating-fargo-duopoly-with-kcpm-buy And here we go again with Gray. This time they're buying KCPM in Fargo, to create a duopoly with KVLY (NBC). They also have a LPTV CBS affiliate, which leads me to believe that they may place CBS and CW on this signal and bump MNTV to another sub. Didn't know where to post this at so I posted it here. They also say that they'll be selecting new call letters for the station? Could it become KXJB?
  6. Becoming Independent? They already are independent. All MNT stations are, if you want to know the truth. And why would this move happen? As much as MNT isn't a network, at the same time, it really would make no sense for WDAF to put MNT on a subchannel (A subchannel that would probably otherwise be broadcasting content from a diginet since most, if not, all of the syndicated product in KC is probably already claimed. They could do what Hearst did a couple years ago and start broadcasting second runs of talk/court/other shows on the subchannel but that would be an unlikely move. If for any reason, KSMO decided to jettison MNT to just put other shows on from 8-10, or whenever they broadcast the lineup and it were critical that MNT remain in the market (Any station could buy all the rights to every show on MNTV, since they also air in traditional syndication), It'd probably go over to KMCI first, or maybe on KCWE or WDAF late at night, but not a sub.
  7. They're quietly already headed that way.
  8. http://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2018/2/1/sinclair-wants-employees-contribute-to-their-pac Color me shocked.......not. Something told me that they would do something like this.
  9. Which GM at WGCL has had the longest tenure there since the switch to CBS? Just curious.
  10. Is WPXT going with it? Or is WPME going alone? More importantly, if its the latter then what happens? Does My Network simply go to a WPXT subchannel?
  11. What's their slogan? Don't stop, make it pop? TicToc on the clock, but the news don't stop, no! Sorry, had to do it.
  12. This isn't really an Earth-shattering announcement but KSHV, one of the Nexstar stations in Shreveport, has added Ion Television in our area on 45.3. Our first time having it since KPXJ dropped it to join UPN/The CW. Just figured I'd note that here.
  13. Tbh, I always wondered why someone didn't do that way back in the day when it was with MyNetwork. It certainly could have qualified back then.
  14. http://www.centralvalleybusinesstimes.com/stories/001/?ID=33675 Idk if this has already been posted but Fresno people. If y'all are looking to work in Omaha without going to Omaha, Sinclair's got you. You know, cause it's totally in the public interest to have newscasts coming from the other side of the country.
  15. Quincy certainly does come to mind. They should have bought it when they got most of Granite's television stations earlier.
  16. For the time being.
  17. Ik im late but Welcome to the board.

Thanks though. Also thank you for following me.
  18. I can see the whole company going piecemeal with Hearst, Graham and other companies grabbing a piece. A few of these stations are O&O bait as well. Specifically KUSA, WXIA, WCNC and KPNX which could all become NBC O&Os. I can see Hearst getting most of the company with Graham grabbing any conflict stations. Meredith may get a few conflicts as well. IIRC, I discussed this in the Speculatron.
  19. I've already posted my two cents in that thread. There's a lot more to come from them.
  20. How about that time they talked about premarital sex?
  21. I always saw Weigel (or even Hearst/Nexstar/One of the major companies) buying KDOC. It could still happen, and I'd actually still be shocked when it does.
  22. I didn't respond to this part specifically for some reason, but this is the more shocking of the acquisitions. Literally anything could happen after this clears.
  23. Weigel could do that. They've proven themselves great at running major network stations in addition to independents. Granted, WDJT and WBND aren't exactly #1, but you have to give them credit for not throwing in the towel or constantly shaking things up and relaunching constantly. Under them, KNLC would make a fine Fox or ABC affiliate.
