  1. Some time ago, I vaguely remember predicting that this would happen. I think it was one of those Speculatron threads.
  2. I'd say Sharon Ko would take her spot. I notice she left the noon newscast but she also does 6pm as well.
  3. She just always finds herself a new gig somehow, doesn't she?
  4. Alright, WTKR/WGNT! That sounds much more like them.
  5. He must be having a hard time finding someone to carry those scripted court shows. On some real stuff, I'd rather see a station carry those than be a dumping ground for infomercials. And besides, everyone else has multiple stations in Hawaii so why not? Now if RNN would sell everything else, or at least the stations that could be reasonable duopoly bait and provide a second outlet for news and syndicated shows.
  6. CBS Afternoon News.....only available in the Bay Area.
  7. Nexstar really has come a long way from where they've started. Kudos to them.
  8. That was MG/Lin, not MG/Nexstar. Hearst should have taken WJAR, honestly.
  9. Stuff like this has allowed WGNT to be ahead of WVBT at times.....and WLMT to be ahead of WATN.
  10. Admitting that you broke the law at the time. Classic.
  11. Let me try not to make the joke about a certain namesake of his.
  12. I took the pic out on accident. It was KPXJ.
  13. I had said earlier that this was about to happen but didn't want to post about it until I saw the promo. KPXJ is doing a 3pm newscast beginning on the 16th. Alex Anderson will anchor, Joe Haynes will be on weather and Julie Parr will handle the Texarkana reports along with additional reports chiefly from Brandy Campbell. Anderson also anchors at 4pm and does sports at 6, 9 and 10.
  14. I could fully see WDKY overtaking them over the years.
  15. Relating to Austin and how Nexstar got KXNW in Fort Smith, I wonder if Nexstar could use KCWX being technically licensed to the Austin DMA to acquire that outright and expand into San Antonio.
  16. I wonder if affiliates will be inclined to produce local news for the Rewind subchannels.
  17. Nexstar recently posted the affiliate list for Rewind TV. KMSS has it in Shreveport, KABB(!) has it in San Antonio and WOIO has it in Cleveland.
  18. KSAT, why?
  19. It's about time. The FCC needs to look into Lubbock and Columbus as well.
  20. Scripps can't own WTWC unless they get a waiver.
  21. PLEASE let this be an alternate music option for the Scripps stations. I don't dislike the theme music they're using now but this is too good to only be for that news channel. It sounds like an extremely reworked and improved Guardian.
  22. https://tvnewscheck.com/top-news/journalism/article/scripps-launching-florida-statewide-news-network/ Scripps is launching a statewide news network using the resources of all of its Florida stations......including WSFL. In fact, Nicole Wolfe is leading the effort. So, how does WSFL have a news director if they aren't originating their own news? And what reporters from WSFL will actually contribute?
  23. I thought Valdosta was Jax. Unless I'm thinking of Waycross. Both share a PBS signal, so.
  24. Wouldn't be surprised if somehow she won. But nothing surprises me anymore.
