1. However, KBMT and KCEN have that TEGNA-stylized layout at the very top of their websites where it mentions "A Tegna Company." But that's the only thing I've seen so far that these stations have taken away from TEGNA. The rest still comes from the London Broadcasting era.
2. That's what seems like TEGNA is starting to do. There will be more eventually.
3. What if Jim Watkins came back to WPIX 11... Tamsen Fadal and John Muller at 5:00 and 5:30pm Kaity Tong and Brenda Blackmon at 6:00 and 6:30pm Kaity Tong and Jim Watkins at 10:00 and 10:30pm + Scott Sanford with SportsDesk at 10:45pm
4. KYOU News debuted in November of 2015 as a 10-minute news update at 9:00 p.m., not a full half-hour as I though it would debut as. But now after a month of being on-the-air, the program is now officially a full half-hour as of December 7th and with it, is now renamed from KYOU News Update to KYOU News at 9:00. 5. I think this is how it should be done: Tasmen and John at 5:00 and 5:30pm Kaity and Brenda at 6:00 and 6:30pm Kaity and John at 10:00pm with Scott Stanford and the SportsDesk at 10:45pm.
6. Things just got more interesting in the possible merger between Media General and Nexstar...
7. Its sure hell of a lot better than KMID's old logo and look. Plus, they are now in HD. KMID doesn't look like the station that it used to be a week ago.
8. And a WHBF clone and a WVLA clone... basically a Nexstar clone. That could also mean newscasts for it sister station KPEJ 24, since there is none on that station. And KMID finally drops its longtime BIG 2 moniker.
9. I mentioned this in Out and About that my new friend, Nick Russo who used to work there, said that they would move into a brand new building with a new set and look. Therefore, they did. It actually looks really good! Nexstar really knocked it out of the ballpark with this one! Well done Nexstar! First WMBD and now KMID.
10. Now that KGW and WHAS are fully O&O by Tegna now, the websites have been updated to reflect the tagline "A Tegna Company."
11. This is the pre-2000 thread, not 2000-present.
12. Or Cato can anchor on WTVT at 5:00pm with Linda Hurtado and at 11:00pm with Cynthia Smoot. Or he can be on at Noon and 5:00pm with Linda and have Cynthia solo anchor at 11:00pm.
13. After Brendan leaves, only Chief Meteorologist Dennis Phillips will be the only original member left at WFTS 28.
14. It was an old one. Sorry for going off-topic, btw.
15. I know, but its also a reference used on Family Guy. I thought I say that but its obviously didn't work.
16. Haha! Family Guy references. (except Peter said thee, not E)
17. So did WPLG 10, WCVB 5 and even WMUR 9 and possibly some others that will secretly do the same as well.
18. And sometimes Sinclair, don't forget them.
19. I can tell you got that from my blog.
20. So if you were the ND or GM and had the job to put the news teams together, who would you choose for what? Btw, what about Kathy Craine? you missed her on that list.
21. They put an old logo while putting their new slogan on it.
22. WZVN already airs The 7:00 O'Clock News on ABC 7.
23. From September 7th, 2015 to October 16th, 2015, WZVN 26 (Cable 7) used to air their mid-morning newscast at 10:00am. Now its back on at 9:00am after just a month.
24. So yes, basically the FOX 25 Morning News is from 5:00-10:00 a.m., followed by Living Oklahoma from 10:00-11:00 a.m. That's right. I live in this market and WBFS 33 had news at 10pm produced by WFOR for 10 years from 2001-2011 and a morning newscast from 7-9am for 4 years from 2004-2008. Both were canceled due to budget cutbacks and obviously and not surprisingly, due to very low ratings against WSVN 7's mega-watt, huge powerhouse 10pm newscast that was never beaten in the ratings by either WBFS 33 or by WSFL 39 when its newscasts was produced by WTVJ 6. Nobody had a shot against the huge ratings juggernaut powerhouse that is WSVN 7.
25. The WGN Morning News did it again... this time, the slogan controversy in Tulsa between KOKI 23 and KJRH 2: http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2015/11/25/copying-the-news-that-matters-to-you
