  1. Noticed WSYM is using the meteorologists from sister station WXMI in Grand Rapids until they get the news department up and going...
  2. so many incomplete packages... if you're going to change one aspect of the packages, change all the damn parts... old and new NEVER mix and looks tacky as hell
  3. I'm glad... Lansing is big enough for them to support.. no need for outsourcing the news from WILX... Excited to see how this turns out
  4. WBNS is launching TEGNA website/mobile app next week... No mention on WTHR's site that I saw.. Here is the link
  5. I'm surprised they kept the Raycom weather graphics
  6. Go to the maps & radar section of the weather page... all the maps except the 7-day are tegna-fied
  7. I am assuming that WQAD is next to be TEGNA-fied... Looking on their website tonight, even though on air, they have Tribune graphics, most of the weather maps online are TEGNA-fied
  8. WATN now has the new Tegna layout... kept the same localmemphis.com address. Surprisingly they kept the logo in tact, just made it linear..
  9. WOI also has the latest version of the Tegna websites and app that are slowly rolling out... Looks like when the Tegna graphics debut, the open will feature We Are Iowa (at least from what is seen in the app when it opens)
  10. Basically KFMB but with ABC instead of CBS eye
  11. It's been this way for a little while now... At least 2 months... Very sad
  12. Bill is a legend here in GR :_)
  13. WOOD TV's Marlee Ginter has revealed that she is on her way to KOVR in Sacramento... She left WOOD 12/20
  14. Primetime News has been in use with WOOD for 25 years... They use so many different cuts but each one sounds current and catchy.... It can be done with the right package...
  15. WXMI and WPIX has now gone from the Tribune web layout to the Scripps layout http://www.fox17online.com http://www.pix11.com Also, the WXMI logo no longer has the Fox Searchlights in the 17 box...
  16. So I'm trying to find if this was mentioned someplace, but I can't see anything so I'll post here... A while back, there was a discussion about how WISH had dropped the 24-hour news moniker... Well it now looks like WOOD is now dropping it as well... While watching the news today I noticed the reporters are now signing off as "Reporter Name, News 8" instead of "Reporter Name, 24-hour News 8". Now granted their LL Bean jackets still show 24-hour News 8, but I do believe that the 24-hour news moniker is now gone... I am sad
  17. I'm sure they'll move KASW to KNXV in due time.. I know where both stations are and it's a decent drive between the two... KASW is located at 7th St. and Missouri, while KNXV is at 44th st and Washington, near Loop 202. Makes sense to condense it to KNXV
  18. Love love LOVE WAVE's new graphics!! Definitely should roll out to others!
  19. WTF Gray -- Come on now...
  20. Out of curiosity do we know why it's taking so long for WTHR and WBNS to be "Tegna-fied"?? I know when they acquired KFMB it didn't take 4 months... I'm not expecting the newly acquired properties to get it for some time....
  21. Speaking of WDBJ I wish more Gray stations would pick up their graphics package, especially their weather graphics... I think the Raycom stations would've looked better with that packaage
  22. Here Mayor -- stand here and look silly cutting some ribbon in front of our green screen and pretend to be interested in our fancy digs... I would've felt like a complete ass doing that...
  23. Yes, I just can't remember which slots... but it's between KNXV and KSAZ Fox 10
  24. Which is funny since the host, Kevin O'Connell just retired from TEGNA owned WGRZ not that long ago...
  25. Scott Jones does... He's been in the biz a long time and has his reliable sources...
