  1. Josh Cozart is the new Chief Meteorologist for KOIN
  2. WXMI is joining the Scripps-ification movement -- less anchor desk time, more "neighborhood reporters"
  3. KTVI and KDVR would be great candidates for this package... Nexstar has some big FOX stations in larger markets that would make them stand out
  4. KSWB would be another great fit for this package
  5. Plus they have the most conflicts: Boston WCVB/WFXT, Orlando WESH/WFTV, and Pittsburgh WTAE/WPXI
  6. Yes, yes, yes... I approve of this! I was really hoping they would finally ditch the Tribune graphics for this...
  7. I don't know why they just don't get absorbed into the O&O stations??
  8. This is just gross... No personality... Spoken like a true national weatherman...
  9. Plus their stock prices keep plummeting... Definitely something amiss
  10. The pink slip express pulled into Grand Rapids' WXMI -- Around 10 were let go and the sports department is supposedly gone, per FTVLive I'm still shocked that they got Terri DeBoer. I'm very curious how much they offered her. She's only on-air 3 days. It couldn't have been cheap. Especially since they had to rid of the 3 females before her to get her there. I know they nabbed her just for ratings....
  11. The Circle 7 logo above the desk is kinda cool -- other than thet, meh...
  12. I'm not a fan of this update... It feels like a cheapened update... Some of the graphics/motions look like they were taken from a third-party website...
  13. I will say that the animations are a lot smoother than when they first launched, what 7-ish years ago?
  14. KNXV has named Fay Fredricks as the successor to Katie Raml after her retirement. She will co-ancher with Javier Soto beginning May 19. https://www.abc15.com/about-us/news-releases/abc15-arizona-names-fay-fredricks-as-evening-news-anchor?fbclid=IwY2xjawIXOqRleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHZL0RJEBi6A1E-YP5X3pmh7IxVysrXgV3OdfEZOtCy6tOBOtWG1-tw4AjA_aem_w04AdsKk0pNwpnqDCZ3xcQ
  15. Another Nexstar station has switched to an aging package.... KOLR has also rebranded to "Ozark's First"
  16. Yes many Gray stations will usually start integrating GrayOne with the weather intros and updated logos... Update is iminent, but could be 1 week, could be another month.. WNEM was using GrayOne Weather Intros for well over a month before switching over...
  17. This is almost exactly like Tegna's WTLV-WJXX FIrst Coast News in Jacksonville.
  18. My question though: isn't it federal law to break into programming for life-threatening severe weather? So isn't Allen "technically" breaking the law because they aren't providing life-saving information?? I just can't see TWC providing live coverage, especially if they struggle bad enough with who they have for national coverage?? I'm just curious if there are lawsuits just waiting to happen??
  19. I doubt this would happen with Hearst, but it would be nice to have... They can be like Griffin and have 2 strong stations
  20. So when severe weather strikes, will we get coverage or will we get reruns of Storm Stories?
  21. Legendary Indianapolis Meteorologist Chuck Lofton is retiring from WTHR around June 1, after the Indy 500
  22. Robb Ellis has again switched stations... He is now at WTHR -- Happned Mid-October
  23. WWLP (NBC) also switched to this package either earlier this year or late last year
  24. For whatever reason, KVEO downgraded their graphics to the quickly aging "ABC-1" graphics and changed over to Overture for music..
