  1. Something I'm wondering about.... Now that there are a bunch of duopolies/etc in many markets... Is Nexstar going to merge websites?? i.e. In Indy, they merged WXIN & WTTG into Fox 59's domain... Would it be easier (and maybe somewhat cost effective) to merge websites?? Also I was thinking... If Nexstar doesn't want/wishes to sell WTHR... I'm wondering if it would be wise if Hearst would grab WTHR?? It would kinda make sense.. They would have a nice regional network of stations in IN, OH, KY
  2. Beloved former WESH meteorologist Kellianne Klass is reappearing at TEGNA's Corpus Christi station KIII. She relocated to Texas since her husband is in the military (assuming he's stationed nearby)
  3. Long time Las Vegas meteorologist Sherry Swensk did not renew her contract with KLAS. Her last day will be April 16.
  4. One thing that is beginning to irritate me about this whole GrayONE package is how long it's taking to roll out... How about instead of trying to get more stations, invest money in current stations, especially those that can't handle the GrayONE graphics first?? This is exactly like how Sinclair was -- taking YEARS to roll out a single package to all stations... They are focusing on the wrong priorities...
  5. KY3 is one of those stations that just absolutely refuses to change anything... Their package is so old and outdated.. But makes me wonder if they have a system that can't handle the GrayONE package....
  6. OMG soooooo much better!!
  7. That's it!! Cool!! It's been driving me crazy!
  8. Former WOOD/WXMI meteorologist Terri DeBoer has announced her run for Congress. She will run as a Repobulican against current Dem. Hilary Scholten. WOOD article WXMI article
  9. I'm just curious what the actual font name is -- I seached on Google Fonts but couldn't find a match
  10. Again... why?!?! They barely cover a fraction of the state?!?! I would see this more for WOFL or heck even WSVN
  11. I think that WXIN package should be a must at any Nexstar FOX Top 50 market station... I've been trying to figure out -- what exactly is this font?? I tried searching for it on Google Fonts, as it seems all the stations are now switching to a Google Font pacakge
  12. CBS's KOVR in Sacramento is next in line to get the CBS virtual reality set. Anchor/reporter Marlee Ginter posted to her Facebook that they are now on a temporary set. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DdhccWymj/
  13. I would LOVE for WOOD-TV to have this package...This pacakge is a great universal package for all networks
  14. WJW has picked up the updated "MOD-03" Graphics Package from Nexstar -- similar to that of WKRN. They still have SAM's "Beyond" for music... Thank God another botched-up Tribune package is gone...
  15. I was browsing on KNXV's website this evening and stumbled upon this image... In Your Community banner in the new graphics package. One could shrug it off, but that's the Phoenix skyline in the background. Makes me wonder if they're next in line. This is a recent addition, as this was a very recent change.
  16. Unfortunately this trend is becoming more popular and too hate it... it's distracting. They are doing it solely for income
  17. I just had to post the reaction of a local viewer about her post
  18. I wonder if this means that WOOD-TV will lose their creative services.. I kinda hope they do, ONLY because their graphics package kinda sucks, especially with the implementation of the Roboto fonts... It looks very dated for a Top 50 market.
  19. WOOD-TV's Susan Shaw is retiring after nearly 4 decades in the business... 31 of those years in Grand Rapids... Her final day is March 27,
  20. I updated my post to include KPTV -- I forgot about them -- so that makes 3 then
  21. WHNS debuted yesterday. This leaves Western Mass. News (WGGB), KPTV & AZ Family (KPHO/KTVK) from ex-Meredith to switch over.
  22. WFLX supposedly debuted back on January 21
  23. Many of the stations over the past 1-2 years will use GrayOne graphics on socials/online things weeks/months before switching over completely. Also they may be on an old system that can't fully support GrayOne and are waiting to do so?
  24. I'm wondering if they're coming up soon... Several of their graphics across the newscast is switching from Meredith's Gotham fonts to the basic Arial/Helvetica fonts all of a sudden the past couple months....
