Everything posted by MichiganNewsGraphicsJunkie

  1. The First Alert banner needs to be much larger
  2. It just occurred to me... This package is essentially an updated version of the 2015-ish KOIN package...
  3. Nexstar's WATE has upgraded their graphics to the PIX 11 graphics. They have also modified their logo to a more flat look. Had a hard time getting pics from the live stream
  4. KPNX Meteorologist Lindsay Riley is expecting baby #3 in February 2025. This is her 3rd baby in 3 years!
  5. I say yes.. Especially since they have a job posting for a met... She should have gotten Reece's spot, and send Reece to weekends as originally planned
  6. Amy Freeze is officially off the website. Jason Frazier is surprisingly still there... Have we heard anything lately about him??
  7. These were 2 big powerhouses that they desperately needed... Hopefully they can bring some normalcy to Fox Weather
  8. Some of these stations I'm sure are desperate for help. I believe in second chances, but she royally screwed this one up.
  9. *UPDATE*: I have yet to see an official article, but KBTX has SCRUBBED Heather Kovar's bio off their Meet the Team page... So it's safe to assume that she is no longer an employee there as well...
  10. They needed a logo update... but not this.. blah... Also I wonder if this means that KBTX is around the corner too.. Both stations already have the GrayOne Weather Graphics but old graphics packages... Hmmmm
  11. KBTX's Heather Kovar has been arrested for domestic violence charges against her boyfriend... If the name is familiar, it's the anchor who appeared drunk on a WRGB newscast..
  12. These would look great for WDAF in Kansas City as well.. The Tribune graphics just don't work....
  13. What I don't understand is why WXMI let 3 mets go in less than 1/2 a year... Each of the girls that left (with the exception of Haleigh i believe) were told their positions weren't needed, yet they have a posting for a weekend meteorologist. Candace could have easily filled that spot seeing that she just came back from maternity leave... There's something fishy going on there....
  14. I understand that.. but still didn't like it for either station...
  15. Thanks for posting.. I couldn't get my program to work to grab them
  16. Nice package, but I don't care for Stream for a Fox station...
  17. Nexstar's WXIN debuted a new graphics package at 4PM.. Gotta say it looks quite spiffy. Hope this rolls out to more of their Fox stations... Here's a few snippits (Most are the weather)... There's a video on YouTube, but it's from a channel that is banned on here... Also, CBS4 has the new weather graphics, but still has the Nexstar CBS graphics
  18. All the Graham Media stations (except for WPLG) had their weather U3's refreshed... Shown are WDIV (updated) and WPLG (old)
  19. Is there a reason they don't use the First Alert Weather branding?
  20. Donovan Long is leaving WOOD-TV after this week...
  21. It's a decent set.. but there's waaay too much openness behind the anchor desk... not to my likings, but overall not too shabby
  22. Seems to be an official change. Their website may be gray.tv, but all over the website, they refer to themselves as Gray Media. Not sure when this was done though...
  23. I remember seeing YouTube chock full of audition and demo reels of reporters/anchors/mets and now I hardly see any... And yes the ones straight from college even sound inexperienced and a lot of the time you can barely hear them.. They seem to be meek and uninspiring
  24. Amy Freeze is now confirmed to be out...
  25. They should've gotten something like their sister station WXMI... I just rewatched the latest newscast and just shake my head...
