  1. Those graphics need to go ASAP!!! They are god awful..
  2. Very nicely done.. I was kind of worried what they would do...
  3. Besides... they really don't need 6 meteorologists in SF...
  4. Per their station Instagram, Hearst's WMTW in Portland, ME debuted a new set on October 10.
  5. I don't know why everyone is so picky about sets being in the corner.. I think it makes great use of space that's usually not used... Take WOOD for example.. They hosted the MI Gubernatorial Debate last night... They were able to move the anchor desk completely and use that space in the corner for a "press room" area... A lot of these sets where you see big ass desks dead center in the studio would have a hard time being moved someplace else if they needed the studio for something else...
  6. that's a long time away yet... why are they cutting the ribbon now then??
  7. Is it just me, or do I see several elements of the Nexstar/WISH graphics?? I see the use of Barlow.. but I'm getting WISH vibes...
  8. It's a freaking temporary set... there's no need to go all out on it... it's just fine for a few weeks/months...
  9. She needed to go the moment she got there... She's been shown all over the internet for the wrong reasons... She can go anytime
  10. CBS Detroit will be using the Next branding. Their "Next Weather Tracker" debuted at the Detroit International Car Show.
  11. I kinda hope not -- IMHO this was a downgrade. The anchor desk looks cheap... and come on... Plastering TV screens in front is so 2000s... They definitely could've done better here...
  12. So I lied. They got a while new set! Main anchor Katie Raml posted this pic on Facebook. Can a moderator change the name to KNXV new set or something like that please?
  13. Chief Meteorologist Amber Sullins posted about their Desert Doppler 15 Weather Center getting "new digs" Here's the link to her Facebook post
  14. I will say it is one of the cleanest versions of the O&O graphics... Other stations should adopt this instead of the gaudier red and blue graphics
  15. Meh... I give at 6/10... For a market this size, it's underwhelming and like someone else said - sterile. If anything, the interview area is more impressive...
  16. I wonder if they'll incorporate the little 5 note ditty that WBZ and WCCO are using for their weather
  17. Here is WZZM's layout -- every TEGNA station I go to has the same layout in dark mode in full desktop mode.
  18. Has anyone else noticed that TEGNA websites now conform to the dark theme if it is enabled??
  19. Seems to me there are several CM's that work in the AM.. WXMI's Kevin Craig here in W. Michigan works AMs
  20. I definitely see a rebrand and also the first of the Meredith stations to switch to Gray graphics
  21. Lots of dark woods/tones... Screams late 90s to me
  22. I'm not too fond of the tall/thin fonts... reminds me of what KOIN had used before they updated... the smaller that font gets, the harder it is to read.... I give it a meh...
  23. This looks FANTASTIC!!! I hope the complete package is just as sharp...
  24. Definitely an improvement from the botched bs they had before this... Why they still have the poorly revamped Hearst weather graphics is beyond me... it looks even more outdated and gross than before... But overall a very very slight improvement from before...
