  1. Not really. And that's why I don't have a lot of respect for Scripps, if any.
  2. It has more of an interest in its Fox affiliates (including KCPQ and KTVI, despite the latter no longer having a football team) and larger markets (besides WJW) than stations like WGNO. In fact, I'm not even sure WGNO deserves to keep the call letters based on a lack of viewership and poor ratings
  3. Probably because USA Today still uses its now half-siblings (TEGNA stations) for some content, along with its full-siblings (Gannett's newspapers)
  4. Much like WGRZ producing newscasts for WUTV/WNYO
  5. And Comet TV (though, my TV can't add KFWD to its channel list for some reason) At some point, yes
  6. More like that they won't sell any of their stations, and maybe they aren't a buyer right now, but what about a few years from now? In fact, that deserves its own thread in the speculatron
  7. A partial ownership stake might. It worked with Fox before it bought NW communications (and had the 2 NBC affiliates divested).
  8. That's where a partial ownership stake in Scripps (no more than 20% just to be safe) comes in.
  9. Which is why Scripps ought to be bought by ABC (who can then divest the non-ABC affiliates to any companies of their choice).
  10. And that's why I think ABC really should buy Scripps (except for the non-ABC stations which can be divested into other companies of their choice).
  11. Now that it's January, when are the LSB stations going to get the updated websites?
  12. Yeah, and so did the one from their first standardized graphics
  13. Isn't Scripps health with the Scripps company and works with them for content?
  14. I think that because both are searchlights, Scripps may have been inspired by Castle Rock for its new slate.
  15. And "The Crips" and "The Hoodz". ABC 10 San Diego is a better name than both of those.
  16. But they have the NBC tower in Chicago. Not to mention they also have Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med, and if they keep it up, Law and Order: Chicago all there too
  17. It would've at least made more sense if WMAQ used the saying "Chicagoland Rising" rather than "Chi-Town Rising"
  18. Is it complete with one of WSVN's former NDs?
  19. And them buying Albittron and Fisher effectively made them the 2nd largest group of ABC affiliates as they have affiliates in larger markets (DC, Seattle, St. Louis, and Portland OR). What next? Sinclair influencing ABC news into leaning more towards the right wing?
  20. Even so, why did Albittron want to sell its stations to Sinclair?
  21. For some reason, I somehow think that Disney should've bought all or most of Albittron instead of Sinclair. They were all ABC affiliates anyway.
  22. As are ABC O&Os in general and Hearst's stations (including its ABC affiliates).
  23. Like they do with WBAL, WISN, and WCVB
